So I found this deli by default. Always by default with me. But I lived in Hempstead for years and just found this deli the middle of last year. I’m yet to regret it.
The staff is always busy they pay attention and get your sandwich right all the time, for me anyways, I haven’t heard different. The wait time is reasonable baring in mind they do call in others as well.
I have never gotten sick and the staff prepares the food with love have me tell it. I would definitely recommend this Deli to everyone. They also take EBT for cold food only.
The atmosphere isn’t great no fault of the Deli, but I stay focus so I’m in and out.
They also treat all their customers the same.
THIS IS MY TRUE AND HONEST EXPERIENCE DEALING WITH THIS DELI

The best deli in Hempstead and literally the only place I eat from. Food is not rushed, well put together and taste amazing. All cashers are really nice and have great service. And the woman who makes the food needs a lot of credit because the food is great ever time.

I was looking for a place to grab a quick bite while I waited at the bus station for rush hour to die down, and I passed on three different options before I looked inside this place.
There’s a small grocery area for canned and dry goods, beer, soda, cigarettes, and lotto tickets, but what caught my eye was the stocked Boar’s Head deli case and the sandwich menu, promising good quality fresh sandwiches.
They have a few good looking house specialties on the board, but I went with a tuna hero.
I have to say that, for the area, the price was excellent. The staff was friendly and professional, and this seems to be a neighborhood favorite, based on the clientele.
Across the street from the train station and bus terminal, nestled between an overpriced fried chicken joint and a pizza place, this is a solid choice for fresh sandwiches that should not be overlooked.

The owner makes food fresh and coffee daily regardless how busy the place gets. Plus the workers are always greeting the customers and making sure there order is right. As well you can pass by this deli around 9pm at night and still get fresh coffee.

This Deli is right in the heart of Hempstead Village, located next to the LIRR and bus terminal. They specialize in cold and hot sandwiches, breakfast platters and other New York food combos to go.
They sell hot and cold beverages , including beer! ☕️ the service is great and the lady behind the counter orchestrates all the food orders as New Yorkers are bustling in and out.
Be polite and know your place in line.
✨️Tip: I place my (very specific) order over the phone and pick it up at the counter when I arrive. Minimizes wait time ⏲️

Closest actual delicatessen to the LIRR/Bus Terminal. Literally less than a block away and great for a quick bite. Busy/crowded spot, some undesirables hanging out front and also has lottery. I found the setup/orientation of the shop to be a bit problematic in the sense you pay for your items, order your food AND submit/redeem lottery all at the same counter. You order with the front staffer and he relays the order to the deli cook(s). There was one person doing all of these tasks while I was there and just a group of people (at least 7 people) bunched up…waiting to pay for other products, waiting to order food from the deli, waiting to pickup already ordered food & waiting to redeem/play lotto. Just a bit much all at once ngl and a lack of space to wait/stand. Food was as expected and pricing was reasonable however.
