Unfortunately, the customer service and communication were lacking. I placed a takeout order that said it would be ready in 15–20 minutes. I arrived after about 25 minutes to allow extra time, only to be told they hadn’t started my order yet and it would be another 25 minutes. There was no apology, explanation, or acknowledgment of the inconvenience.
What was disappointing wasn’t the wait itself, but the lack of empathy or communication. The restaurant wasn’t busy, and it appeared there may have been a system error, but no one explained what happened or offered even a simple apology. Having worked in the food industry, I know mistakes happen—but how they’re handled matters.
The pizza was fine, and I did receive everything I ordered, which is why I gave three stars. If the service had matched the experience I had when I came with my brother previously, this would have easily been a five-star review. A little kindness, communication, and accountability would go a long way. I may try it again in the future, but this experience left me unsure.
For $35 we got cheese sticks and two medium stuffed crust pizzas which really wasn’t a terrible deal. Sadly the pizza wasn’t exactly what I was expecting. I want to be clear the pizza I ordered was not thin crust.. yet this is the thinnest crust I’ve ever had! The stuffed crust had almost no stuffing, the pizza size itself was incredibly small, the flavor was bland, and overall it.. well my husband took a couple bites and had frozen pizza rolls instead which is not a good sign.
The only good thing I will say is that the delivery was spot-on perfectly timed. Not a second late.
EDIT:
Me and my family pick up from here all the time when we want some decent pizza without the recession prices and Mama Mias always comes through. My pick up orders are always ready on time, they offer us good deals and their customer service is stellar. I remember I was 2+ hours late to pick up my pizza because of an appt taking way longer than we thought and without me asking or any hesitation they offered and insisted to make sure our pizzas were remade and we went home with it hot and fresh in the box.
Mama Mias is one of the best budget pizza places up here, hands down !
Also, the mozzarella sticks are very good too !
Shame on you . I will never order from you again . You’ll be reported to the health department as well .
I understand this place markets itself as a pizza place, but don’t put stuff on the menu if it’s not halfway decent.
The Calzone crust was very salty, only needed the Parmesan honestly. The birria meat itself didn’t have any flavor.
The accompanying consommé also didn’t have flavor but had a lot of kick to it.
It tasted like they just boiled the Birria meat with some peppers, cilantro, and onions without roasting the bones or meat itself first.
The taco and enchilada were below average as well. Just not a whole lot of flavor.
In the sea of Mexican spots out here in the high desert, this place should just stick to pizza in my opinion.
