Not a bad Mexican place at all! But I didn’t enjoy the breakfast burrito that much, it was too meat and beans forward. Just too much salt for my taste, really needs more eggs, some pico de gallo, and maybe some potatoes. Not bad, just not something I’d seek out.
Portions were generous, but pricing is about average, not great but not bad for how much you get. Salsa/hot sauce was fantastic tho. Friendly staff. Considering the cost and taste, not for me but I think many people will enjoy!

A hidden gem of delishusness. This family restaurant with a Mexican flair is adorned with local murals and is a must-go in my opinion. I had the Al pastor burrito with green salsa. Oh boy it was good! My son had the Philly cheese steak sandwich and he gave it a thumbs up. The staff was terrific. Don’t forget to give them a try. Unfortunately they are open for breakfast and lunch.

Carlito’s Place is a true hidden gem. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, and it’s clear they know their regulars by name which says a lot about the kind of place this is. The menu offers a great mix of classic café breakfasts, authentic Mexican dishes, and American favorites, so there’s something for everyone. The breakfast burrito was massive and absolutely delicious, especially with the smoky, spicy hot sauce they brought out on request. Our son loved the silver dollar pancakes. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town.

Outstanding service, especially by the waitress Christina, very good food, well above fast food quality and taste.
The food is a quality restaurant type of food. We had a combo of Mexican and breakfast, both of which were excellent.
Pancakes and waffles reminded me of a high-end restaurant in DC. Best quesadilla I think I have ever had. Tacos were outstanding.
Cannot believe a place like this exists in Ft Madison Iowa!

No disappointments at all!! First time in Fort Madison and I am very happy the travel gods directed me here as the Mexican Skillet was heavenly. I got carryout for my friend I was meeting at Denmark Renaissance fair.

In town to deliver a load to a plant 2 min away and came across this place. The service was great. When you walk in it feels like you’re at home. Now the birria tacos were the best I have ever had and I’ve had plenty!! The shrimp taco was also fire!!!! Highly recommend

This quaint little place is off to a great start. You have to come and taste the authenticness of all their wonderful dishes. They’re making a switch up to the normal breakfast menu and bringing in a little Hispanic flair. I love it.
