Southern Charm Bistro + Lauren Daniels made my dad’s 80th surprise birthday celebration truly unforgettable. We hosted a small, intimate gathering and asked for a more Jamaican-inspired menu, and Lauren absolutely delivered.
The food was phenomenal from start to finish: incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and full of layered flavor. Nothing tasted rushed or mass-produced; you could tell every dish was thoughtfully prepared with care and intention. Our guests are still talking about it. The oxtails were a standout, the fish was excellent, and the appetizers were just as impressive.
Everyone left not only full but genuinely delighted, the kind of meal that reintroduces your palate to what real flavor is supposed to taste like. On top of that, the service was warm, professional and made the entire experience feel seamless.
If you’re considering Southern Charm Bistro for a special event (or just want an amazing meal), I can’t recommend them enough. Thank you, Lauren, for making this milestone so special.

To say that their food is amazing is an understatement! All dishes are made from scratch with a little extra love. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and they make you feel like family. Their biscuits and homemade jam are by far the BEST I have ever had! Perfectly seasoned fried chicken and mac n cheese. Smooth and creamy mashed potatoes. Deviled eggs were just perfect! The cajun alfredo was great as well, with the perfect amount of spice and seasonings. Reservations do have to be made in advance as it’s limited seating. If you have not tried this hidden gem, it’s definitely a MUST!!!

This restaurant is up there with the best of them from a food taste perspective. Headed by a charming lady as the chef, Southern Charm’s dishes are some of the best comfort food I have ever had. The biscuits are the best I ever had accompanied by home made jam and honey butter. The fried chicken wings have the perfect crispy crunch coating, delivered piping hot. The Oxtail flatbread unlike anything I tasted. Not to mention the Mac & Cheese as well as the Lima beans.
We will be going back to Southern Charms many times. I will not be surprised if this place becomes a local sensation in the near future on #TripleD, magazines, or awards.

Great food, amazing atmosphere, I love the ambience. This is a must visit restaurant when you’re in Southwest Florida. Owners and servers very personable and very professional. You absolutely have to get the biscuits, but the food in general is amazing. Southern “Sophisticated” Bistro! I love it!!

I haven’t been this impressed with a new restaurant in forever. The atmosphere was intimate with jazz music playing and although there was plenty of light, it wasn’t harsh. The decor was beautiful.
Lauren’s food is incredible! Everything is homemade and isn’t just your everyday meals. We had the oxtail and the grouper and grits. They were fantastic and we can’t wait to try something else next time.
