When you walk into DJ’s Clam Shack in downtown Stillwater, you instantly feel like you’ve been transported straight to Key West, Florida, the perfect little tropical escape from the chilly Minnesota winter ahead. The space is warm, inviting, and filled with charming coastal décor with no detail left unturned.
The food? Absolutely incredible. The lobster roll was my hands-down favorite! Buttery, fresh, and perfectly seasoned; but truly, everything we tried was fresh and delicious. It’s such a fun and unique concept for Stillwater, and one that fits the town’s vibrant riverfront vibe perfectly.
Afterward, be sure to head right next door to No Neck Tony’s, which is also owned by the same team. Grab a delicious drink, soak up the fun atmosphere, and enjoy the charm of one of Stillwater’s most iconic bars.

My wife and I went to this place for a little date night. Nice place you walk up to order your food at the counter and get a buzzer to let you know when food is done. We ordered a standard lobster roll which had generous portions. We also offered the clam chowder poutine which was very good. My wife got the garlic shrimp roll. Total I believe our bill was 70. Staff was friendly asked how the food was.

Best lobster roll and clam chowder I have ever had. Do not miss out on this cute seafood restaurant in Stillwater. The staff was fantastic and kind. One chef came out to talk to us and was so friendly. My husband got the overstuffed and I got the regular roll and we shared the clam chowder. Best ever. Highly recommend 10/10.

Great spot off the main drag in Stillwater. We ordered the lobster roll (warm) and the chicken strips with fries. The food came out quickly and was really good. Only reason for 4 stars on the food is almost all options are fried except a few items that can be served grilled. Would recommend, fantastic building with great decor and a nice bathroom.

Total Hidden Gem! Decor was straight out of Key West – relaxing and fun. And the food? Shrimp and lobster as tasty as any I’ve had on the coast! Needed a break from pizza and burgers and so glad we found this place! Just steps off the Stillwater strip! Kids gobbled up all their shrimp, and raved over the fries too.

The lobster roll ($37) and coleslaw were delicious, the clam chowder packed a little flavor for me but overall I’m satisfied. Nice selection of rooms to choose to enjoy our meals as well.

The food was fantastic, cute place with a nice ambiance! We had the lobster roll and fish and chips, both were fantastic!! Staff was super friendly and even the bathroom was cute (ladies, you know this is important!). I hardly ever leave reviews, but can’t wait to come back, this will be one of our favs!

This is such a cool little place! Order at the counter and sit at one of the cozy tables. Loved the decor, the service and the food! Clam chowder was great, so were the clam strips and fries. Even the little burgers were quite good! Tip: The baskets are a good size for sharing. I will be back!!

Great atmosphere & service. The shrimp on the po boy are huge, and the portion is generous. The bun is buttery and perfectly toasted. The French fries are crispy and so good. I accidentally squeezed lemon on my fries, but it turned out to be delicious.

We had the regular lobster roll (warm) it comes with slaw and also butterfly shrimp and fries. Everything was beyond good. Absolutely delicious. We can’t wait to be back in town and try other items.. Or just repeat our order.
