What a beautiful dining experience. During the weekday the little indoor restaurant is quiet and serene creating an intimate dining experience. The highlights were the complimentary soup and appetizers.
The soup of the night was tomato basil. The appetizers we ordered were the chicken liver mousse and baked goat cheese. Both were memorable bites.
The main courses were okay. We ordered the hanger steak, which was aggressively seasoned. It overwhelmed my palate. The accompanying potatoes and asparagus were delicious. We also ordered the special barbecue salmon with cornbread and greens. The cook and seasoning on the salmon were perfection. We enjoyed it up until the moment a pin bone almost stuck into my gums. The cornbread and greens were fantastic – I could have eaten them as the meal!
We finished up with a carrot packed carrot cake topped with fresh whipped cream. The carrot cake itself was delicious, but suffered from the bland whipped cream. It was missing the delights of cream cheese frosting or some iteration.
The whole meal was plated beautifully. The waitress was attentive and kind. We enjoyed the meal and look forward to going back and ordering more appetizers.

Absolutely delicious food and awesome atmosphere. The pork belly was the best I’ve ever had. Very cozy place. Highly recommend. One of the gems of Cape May Court House.

My partner and I ate here for the first time last night and our experience was excellent! We had were impressed by every course we had. I had the hanger steak which was delicious but dessert was my favorite course. We had the olive oil cake with homemade whipped cream and mixed berry compote. It was delicious, even better than we expected! We’ll definitely be returning for future dinners. I highly recommend coming here for a date night!

Food was amazing. I went for the tapas approach and ordered all appetizers. Place was packed in a Saturday night with people waiting outside for a table. Make a reservation. Great spot in South Jersey

Chef Ben Scola and his staff are aces at what they do at this BYOB in Cape May Court House just off exit 10 of the GSP 3 miles from Stone Harbor. Imaginative interpretations of classic dishes such as the Caprese Salad & perfectly prepared entreés such as Rack of Lamb and killer desserts make this a must visit. Destination dining worthy open every evening.

This used to be my favorite place, but they just redid the menu- prices have doubled and quality has gone down markedly. Our previous favorite appetizer- The goat cheese and honey crostini, was now rendered inedible because the wonderful crostini was replaced by stale bread so hard it hurt to chew. The Mushroom Lasagna was $38 and was dried out and flat. It’s a shame because this place was our favorite go-to restaurant until now. I hope they find a way back to their former glory.

Seriously such good food!! Although I liked the appetizers more than the entrees. The entrees were still amazing but the appetizers were more creative and fun. They also brought out a special dessert for my mom’s birthday and the server was so sweet. The chef also came out and spoke to us which was nice. The outdoor seating was absolutely beautiful and a lovely COVID friendly experience. Definitely make a reservation though!

Nice atmosphere, outside is a little more casual, I have always found the inside closer to fine dining. Had the Kale salad and goat cheese appetizers tonight and they were outstanding. Usually the service is great. Tonight I requested a glass for my BYOB and waited 10 minutes before I walked up and got my own. I ordered the Steak and Cake special. The crab cake was really good. I had ordered a medium rare steak that came out well done. While the seasoning was good, it was too over cooked to eat. I did not eat the filet. The person who ran the apps, drinks and dinner meals was very nice and attentive. The waitress stopped and asked how the meal was and then without pausing for the answer said ‘good’ and left. I have been here multiple times and this was the first time that I was disappointed in the service and the food. I will no longer recommend this restaurant,

Looking for a place for our anniversary dinner and ‘stumbled’ on Scola and glad we did. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Ben and team are awesome. Interesting and delicious complimentary appetizers. We had the duck and the meatloaf entree’s and they were both excellent. The only negative in giving this review is that you may be in front of me when I am trying to get a table there this summer (and beyond).

I had a delicious meal at Scola. The food was great, and the service was excellent. I had the meatloaf, which was very flavorful, and root vegetables with new potatoeson the side. We also ordered the halloumi cheese appetizer and a short rib tortilla chip appetizer. Both were tasty. For dessert, I had the strawberry shortcake plus cookies and cream ice cream. They were a good palate cleanser. The ambience is nice too, very relaxing with good background music playing.
