Mom and pop local catering shop. Out of all the ones in Palisades Park, this one is the best. They offer a verity of Korean side dishes (barchan), comfort food like Kim chi jigae, bentos for lunch crowd, and fresh steamed buns (they call them dumplings). The lady that runs the shop is very humble and friendly. I’ve been shop here for years and I keep coming back because their food reminds me of a home cooked meals. Stuff is not overly processed or seasoned, ingredients are fresh and everything is just delicious. Toward the end of the day if they still have stuff left, they offer it at a big discount. Those days when I was fresh out of college at my first job, I was still able to eat well on a budget because of those end of the day sales 🙂

This spot is one of the best and the longest-lasting Korean caterer, well over 20-years, even within the Korean community. Located in the heart of Pal Park, they serve tasty food, lunch (bento-type) boxes, and Korean side dishes whose flavor hasn’t changed since they first started. Their huge steamed dumplings are also something to try. I’ll always support their hard working staff and the business.

Very courteous and kind owners. Their foods are excellent also. Try the Arirang Rice Cake store also. They are excellent too.

The lady owner is at times very rude and scary. But I keep going back there for more than 2 decades because their food is excellent and the price looks like it belongs in the 20th century. $4 ttekboki & $2 jumbo dumpling?
I hope the owner doesn’t find out who I am because she will give me a dirty look next time I go there. But it doesn’t matter because I will be back anyway. Just pick up what I want, pay and leave. Literally takes me 1 minute.

The humble shop is a lot smaller and less fancy compared to others in the neighborhood but their food is the best in Palisades Park. Their selection of side dishes (banchan), soups, and main dishes remind me of home in Korea. Everything is very well made and tasty. They have bento boxes if you are looking for a quick lunch or dinner. Their steam buns are absolutely delicious, nice and airy and filled with flavor. The couple that owns and runs this shop are incredibly friendly and welcoming.

This place has been around for a while, it’s still here cause it’s good. Steam king dumpling is a plus. Especially red beans inside. Kimbap is always delicious.

Just bought kids size kimbop here, a piece of white plastic was in the kimbop we bought. Thank god, my child spit it out but what if he didn’t? This place needs a major clean up. Not going back to the store again. It’s disgusting inside.

Closest to Korean food I get at home in the US. I eat Soondobu a lot- their’s was better than I have in the states. Selections of banchan with meals are well fermented and heavenly seasoned, like home made.
