I happened to read about this place from a bad review about another restaurant. I was in the mood for some shrimp and decided to give this place a shot. There was only one woman in there and that had me a little worried about the quality. The staff was super nice and super accommodating. I got the seafood platter with coleslaw and french fries.
It was DELICIOUS! The seafood was seasoned VERY well. The whole dish was delicious and PLENTIFUL. The almost give you too much food. I will definitely be coming back to Fishouse!

First let’s start with Service! Very friendly staff everyone will engage with you authentically! The fried fish is awesome and the it’s best piping hot out of the grease. Let’s move on to the sides the Cole slaw and sweet potatoes are my favorites! And lastly the prices are so fair and moderate you should tip! It’s a great place happy it’s in my back yard!

My 2nd visit was really nice. Staff pleasant and engaging. I got the whiting, greens, mac/cheese, scallops, and shrimp. I truly appreciate that as a customer I was given the opportunity to describe how I wanted my fish seasoned and prepared. Everything that I ordered was delicious and freshly prepared. The only exception were the scallops. Also, I’m a big lover of crab cakes. I ordered the crab cakes during my 1st visit and found the flavor to be very odd. Wasn’t use to the flavor at all. Still, I’m willing to order another crab cake in the future in hopes that it will be a Better outcome.

So happy to have spotted this restaurant as it truly serves the best, fresh, local soul food I’ve ever had (including in LA, Harlem, DC, Atlanta . . . ). Everything is made from scratch by the mother-daughter duo who own and run this restaurant. The greens are outstanding, with just the right touch of vinegar and hot sauce. My friend loved his fish sandwich! I went back in after eating and got more food to take home for the next day!

My first thought, a little pricey. But it was well worth it! Portions were big enough for 2. Got blackened snapper and Fried Whiting. Hush puppies, mac n cheese and collard greens were my favorite! Very tasty. I will be returning.

This new restaurant is extremely impressive. Its clean, brightly lit and friendly. The food is absolutely delectable and my favorite are the turkey ribs, carrot muffins (yum), Sorrel, Croaker fish (fried just the way I like), cabbage, collards and pit grilled chicken by the halves. Okay, lets just say, its all very good and definitely worth a try. A great place for a smoothie too. They are definitely off to a GREAT start and I can’t wait for the warmer weather as the lot is large, I may just have to bring a blankie and have a private picnic. It’s a sure credit to the greater District Heights, Prince George’s County Maryland area. I suspect that this little area has been a best kept secret and much more development is on the horizon.

This was our first visit. The staff was pleasant and the food outstsnding. I was surprised at the portions, they were huge; but so good, I stuffed myself to get them down. The only complaint I had was there was no on site dining.

Ordered on Uber Eats because it was snowing and this place could be delivered. Was very happy with the salmon sandwich with fries. It was very good and enough for me to save half the sandwich for the next day…very fresh and seasoned well. Would order again.
