I stumbled across this place while looking for ribs , and we were very pleased! It seems to be family-owned, and you can feel the great kitchen chemistry between everyone. The catfish is real catfish, cooked to perfection. And the chicken wings? Incredible! I’m not usually a sauce person, but I really enjoyed their house BBQ sauce. I also had the shrimp and mozzarella sticks—ALL WERE AMAZING! If you’re short on time, I suggest calling in your order, but other than that, you won’t regret checking this place out

The steak cheesesteak was very good. The wings were standard. Nothing spectacular that you couldn’t get from another barbecue spot. I do like how the crunch remains even with the sauce on top. The peach cobbler was sweet and good. I do like their homemade barbecue sauce. I appreciate the condiments included not being directly on the food. I recommend and will be back

Chicken was great. Took 30 minutes to get food. There was no ac so we had to wait in the car. The loaded fries were not good and had salsa on then. They over microwaved cheese sauce for the fries and just gave us the bowl of cheese which is hour we know it was microwaved… the bowl had started to melt and in that spot the cheese turned brown. The greens were very good; Mac and cheese was not good. I’ll definitely go back for the wings and greens. The guy that took our order was very helpful and friendly.

The team at Star’s is PHENOMENAL.

I hired them to cater an event and they were the most professional, responsive, and thoughtful restaurant of all of the places I sent inquires to about catering. I could not have been happier with my purchase or the service. The ordering process was very smooth. The food arrived in a timely fashion and was ready to serve. All of the guests were satisfied and asking where they could get more. My only regret was not asking for business cards or fliers to pass out because I kept saying their business name to guests all night.

I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND using them for your catering needs or just a weeknight dinner. I will be returning. Thank you so much!

You gotta try this place if you in Cleveland and want soul food. They got some of the best perch I have had in a while and their wings are just amazing. The people who run the place are friendly and very kind people. They hooked me up and treated me with great hospitality. This place is it.

The staff at Star’s are awesome! Thank you for preparing a delicious meal for my family. I wish I had photos but the food was so good I ate it all. We had a variety of options off the menu. I’ll say the shrimp dinner, chicken dinner and the perch dinner and even the peach cobbler was delicious. Keep up the good work.

If you came to the reviews to decide if you wanted to try them I’m here to say DO IT! I tried them on the Door Dash app originally. I ordered from them about 3 times and was very pleased every time! So much so I decided to drive to the restaurant to see who was whipping in that kitchen! I walked in and was greeted with pleasant hello’s and somebody in the back picking fresh greens off the stems! I tell ya what, if you want some banging food the east side of Cleveland Ohio gone give it to ya everytime! I ordered a catfish dinner with southern sides ( Mac and Yams) and I’m about to start shouting right now thinking about it ! Anyway YES TRY THEM!

This place just opened up. Today, I finally got a chance to stop by for a try! It’s very inviting and clean when you walk in. Staff was very pleasant and friendly. Big smiles! Very engaging when I asked about the Breakfast menu. Said they will be starting it soon. The menu for it looks Amazing! Can’t wait to try it. Very Soulfood forward menu! Today I tried the Classic Polish Boy (beef) Perfect bread to meat ratio, topping perfectly portioned (fries coleslaw) the Bar B Que sauce was delicious! Not too sweet or hot seasoned well! The slaw was tasty, the meat had the perfect snap that you expect from a sausage when u bit into it. They didn’t overdo it on the fries, slaw, or sauce just the right amount which made this sandwich Perfect! I also had a Perch Sandwich, agsin correct ratio bread to meat, with meaty pieces not flat! Like others. Tender, juicy and delicious! Perfectly cooked and seasoned! Slightly borderline salty for my taste, but thats Soulfood! It was so good I didn’t mind the extra pinch of salt! It’s made to order so there will be a wait, may want to order ahead if in a rush, but so we’ll worth it! Only ding..I can give is I ordered a fish sandwich got charged for a dinner, but I’m sure it was an unintended mistake. We were talking and I’m sure they will rectify it. Over all This is one to Try! Totally Recommend this Hidden Gem!

Run don’t walk to this amazing restaurant! Me and my husband have tried this establishment twice this week. All ingredients are fresh and homemade and just like grandma‘s kitchen. Very professional even over the phone and the DoorDash experience has been awesome as well. Everything is always hot and fresh.
