My first experience with the dad’s American Diner was on October 14th. I’ve been there three different times so far within the last few weeks and I’m going to put all of my experiences in this one particular review. It might be long but it’ll be worth reading.
10/14/25:
I went in to try their chicken and waffles. Something I do whenever I go out to a breakfast is taste their gravy for their biscuits and gravy. It was so good that I got a half order of biscuits and gravy to take home to my wife. Back to the chicken and waffles. They use Belgian waffles for that part and breaded chicken strips with warm maple syrup and a dollop of butter.
10/16/25
My wife and I went in for lunch on this day. She had a Cobb salad I had the fish and fries and I asked him to if they could change the fries to onion rings and they said yes. The Cod was very tasty and the onion rings were the large type and were also very tasty. My wife said the cobb salad okay. Now saying that she Compares all Cobb salads to the one we get at Diego farms in Las Vegas. They have a very very good Cobb salad.

I was ready for another order of chicken and waffles. So my wife and I went to Dad’s again. She had the ham steak and eggs with hash browns and I had the chicken and waffles. My wife found her breakfast was very good. We highly recommend DAD’S. I can’t say enough for the staff and how they handled everything Sarah, Phoebe and Rose all of the ones that we interacted with and the chef himself.
TIP: if you are a person that has trouble ordering eggs where you get the whites done and the yolk soft try ordering them basted.

Worst steak in town! I came in with my wife on our anniversary for breakfast and I will never being going back again. I can sit hear and tell you about my experience but It would be a small novel. Bad service, terrible food, and no sense of urgency. Don’t bother asking for a well done steak. They’ll undercook it anyways.

We stopped by Dad’s American Diner on a quick trip into Pahrump from Vegas. All the staff were super friendly and service was super quick. I got the chicken and waffles – the waffle was super fluffy and moist, the chicken tenders had a good flavorful breading, and the butter was so good. My boyfriend got a breakfast plate with bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, and a biscuit with gravy. I snuck a taste of the biscuit and gravy and really liked the flavor. Prices were reasonable and we really enjoyed our meal! Will definitely be back next time we’re in town.

Rose was our server and she is FANTASTIC! Great attitude, fast service, we are so happy we chose Dad’s diner. They were slammed when we got there and the staff handled it like pros, we were still in and out in 40 minutes with three of us. All of the food was great but the griddle cakes were phenomenal! Randy and I enjoyed Dad’s Diner again and we must say that the homemade biscuits and sausage gravy is really delicious and flavorful! I had to taste it because I make some slammin gravy and Wow!!! I give this place 5 stars just because I came here late on Thanksgiving day. This was my 1st visit. I was lucky enough to get two of their Holiday Turkey dinners to go. This meal was amazing and I could tell it was cooked with Love. I will be back for sure to try some of their many other entries.
