Beware if you’re GF! They served me a sandwich that was way too good to be GF so I asked and it wasn’t. I was given some kind of answer like their system doesn’t allow them to track it back to whoever makes the food so it relies on good communication. They weren’t even busy, just one other party already eating. They did offer to make a new one, but at that point I was already done with half the sandwich. I got the Pesto Turkey and it was good but the pesto mayo tasted like fish. Possibly anchovie paste like Cesar dressing? Not sure. But unfortunately that was my first and last time there.

From everything I have had from here, I have absolutely no complaints. The coffee is always good, whether it be hot or cold. The sweets are always phenomenal, huge fan of their cinnamon rolls and pecan pie. The bread though, its absolutely fantastic. I could eat the bread alone and be happy. Service is always nice and the environment is warm and welcoming.

Service has never been outstanding, but always at least pleasant. Pies and other baked goods are solid, and biscuits and gravy are delish. But last couple of visits have been disappointing, with less than friendly staff and extremely slow service. However, today marks the last time we plan on spending money here. Ordered our usual biscuits and gravy to go, and ordered an extra biscuit because the generous amount of gravy is always enough for a couple of meals. When we realized that the staff member had poured the gravy over all the biscuits instead of it being packaged separately as they’ve always done it, and since we weren’t going to be eating it all right away, we went back to ask if we could have them packaged separately. The girl told us “That’s the way we’ve always done it and if you wanted it that way you should’ve asked”. Then she told us they were out of biscuits. With only two other customers in the entire time we were there, and having been open for about 30 minutes at that point, they’d apparently only made two biscuits…
We left the pile of cold and gummy mush on the counter. We’ll spend our money in better managed local establishments from now on.

Came in at 7 AM as I always do 3 days a week. Noticed it was 55 degrees in the seating area. When I asked if the employees if they might turn up the heat I was told the owner doesn’t allow them to have the thermostat code. So my self and my 4 friends had to leave our coats on to stay warm while we ate . Delegation and trusting your employees is the mark of a knowledgeable manager. The employees were embarrassed they couldn’t fix the situation even though they wanted to.

Kind of disappointing to have what could and should be a great bakery and coffee place constantly underwhelm and under deliver. Some of the pies are quite good, I really liked the chocolate espresso, while other pies and pastries can be bland and even stale. More than once I’ve had a sticky bun or pecan roll be stale and that’s in my opinion totally unacceptable to pay full price for day old or older pastries. Also their coffee could use some work. I’ve several times had luke warm drip coffee and their americano isn’t anything to come back for either. I think some more focus and effort on the customer experience would go a long way here.

I ordered a pumpkin pie for my boyfriend’s birthday, his favorite! Customer service over the phone was good. I arrived to pick up the pie on the date and time arranged. They did not have a record of my prepaid order ( very very expensive pie) but they begrudgingly pulled a pumpkin pie out of their display case for me. I was not addressed when I entered into the shoppe and received the ominous gen z stare. Then I was treated like an inconvenience the entire time I was in the store. The pie looked decent, but the crust was overcooked/burned in some ways—-the pie was VERY overpriced and my boyfriend was disappointed!!!! I will say the other flavors of pie in the case looked to die for and I would be willing to try again in case I caught them on a bad day but I would not trust them for a whole pie or special occasion.

Really enjoyed my first trip to this amazing gem. I heard rumors that this shop was opening a second location in Loveland. I have never visited the location in Laporte, but heard good things. My spousal unit and I visited today. I had the chocolate pie and a sausage breakfast burrito. The chocolate pie was clearly made from scratch and was delightful. The chocolate was rich and delicious and the cream top was decadent and a great balance. The crust was perfect for a cream pie. The breakfast burrito was great with chunks of sausage, potato, black beans, green chili and cheese. Spousal unit had the biscuits and gravy. Both were made from scratch with the biscuits being big and fluffy and the gravy was peppery with chunks of sausage. Both were generous servings. I also had to get the super fat cookie which was wonderful as well. For the real test which is how good is their cherry pie. I ordered a whole one since they had blueberry today. Will update with the results.

Sorry, but the service here is abysmal. You will stand at the front, employees are there but no greeting, no “we will be right with you”. Eventually one of them will get to you. It is like a game of chicken back there on who has to handle the register. Then did you order a coffee? Wait for them to make it while they do other things. And wait awhile.
Never seen anything like it.

And just to add on with the latest visit most miserable employees ever. They just look angry you dared to walk in the door and disturb them. I encourage you to look at my other reviews. I don’t do bad reviews, this place is just the worst and deserves it.

Stopped in just to check it out.

Atmosphere and ambiance isn’t anything to get excited about. . Don’t think it would be my go to place to sit and hang out or meet up with friends.

The staff was very friendly and helpful!

Pies looked definitely homemade. Nothing like Perkins or such.

Prices are a little high.

Cookies were yummy and are big, but also cost 4.00 each.

Will I go back, probably not.
