Social Profile:

Emil’s is Augusta’s newest restaurant and bar with a self-pour taproom — and we’re stitched together with a lot of butter, a little grit, and a healthy sense of humor. Named after Emil — or Mitch, or just Papa, depending on who you ask — we built this place the way he lived: resourceful, big-hearted, and never afraid to break a few rules if it made the gravy better. So here’s what you’ll find at Emil’s: small plates and big boards made from scratch, a tap wall that refuses to be boring, craft coffee, and a pastry case that never disappoints. We promise you an experience that is both comforting and wonderfully unexpected, so come on in, pour yourself a drink, and have a meal with us. We’d like to get to know you better.

This is my new favorite place in Augusta!

Where do I start?

The ambience is beautiful. Everything from the colors, lighting, wood recessed shelving, coaches and lighting make this place a wonderful spot to grab a bite and some drinks on a date.

You can order specialty coffees, tea, THC seltzers and there is a tap wall that allows you to pour your own drafts all night long!

We sampled the pint sized roast beef havarti melt with cherry pepper, mayo, caramelized, onions, and spicy horseradish on a house baked brioche roll yummy!

We also tried the Easter meatballs, and I loved the sesame, cilantro sweet shoyu sauce.

Finally the Muhammara is this amazing dip with red peppers, walnuts, olive oil, pomegranate and molasses. It’s so good we spooned it into our mouths after we used all the home baked focaccia.

Our server Alexandria was all smiles and attentive! The owner Sean is really cool too and stopped by to make sure everything way perfect.

We will be back often!

The inside is absolutely beautiful and a nice place to just hang out. Seating is very comfortable. I ordered a chai latte and apple strudel today. If you love pepper you will love the chai latte. If you don’t like pepper don’t get it. My husband ordered the coffee latte and it was awesome. I’ll get that next time. The apple strudel was delicious and warm. The chocolate espresso truffle didn’t have an overly coffee flavor but was good. The people working here as well as the owner Sean were very personable and kind. Can’t wait to come back and try more.
Update: We came back to try some different things. We tried the farmer board. Everything was wonderful. Unfortunately neither of us like gorgonzola but they traded out for some cheddar. Such wonderful and accommodating people. My fav cheese was the garlic and chive whit cheddar! Everything just melded together perfectly and the focaccia was to die for. I tried and iced latte and the had a new flavor shot called maple cinnamon. OMG wonderful!!! If I have to keep updating this review to tell you all the different things, I’ll be writing a book instead lol. So just come try for yourself! No regrets

There’s a stylish new spot in downtown Augusta. What a great experience we had at Emil’s. Walking in we were greeted and led to a beautiful dining space just right for a Friday night!!! The food was sensational, prepared from scratch and full of flavor. I love the concept of small plates allowing us to pick several dishes and sample them all. My favorite (so far) is the creamed corn. Packed with delicious creamy corn with a punch of heat…I love it. Their tap wall is a work of art. If you are a beer enthusiast, this is the place for you!! The atmosphere was inviting and intimate for conversation and relaxation and food enjoyment. Shawn and Emilie have poured their heart and soul into this property and it is evident by every morsel of food and drink you consume. I cannot wait to return. If you haven’t tried this place yet you are truly missing out. CHEERS!!

Located on the corner of 9th and Broad Street you’ll find one of Augusta’s gems. If you want a decent cup of coffee this is the place.

We had the pleasure of meeting the proprietors of Emil’s. Both were pleasant and informative.

My friend enjoyed a Latte and Apple Struddle, I had a regular coffee and Peanut butter cookie sandwich. All were delicious!

In the back wall you’ll find a selection of beers, wine and cider. Attached is a QR code for the menu which Sean said will be updated soon.

The coffee came from North Carolina’s Counter Culture Coffee.

The only thing I would like different is to add milk or cream myself. Hand me a black cup of coffee with either to add to my liking rather than them adding it. Otherwise everything was great!

Please give them a try. I’ll certainly be back.

So, went walking downtown with a buddy of mine and stumbled across a new coffee shop, Emil’s. Walked in, looked over the menu, and head to the register to order. Boom, met the owner of the shop, Emilie. So many laughs and smiles! Love the personality! You were a large factor is our decision to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. So, outside we went.

Here’s what we thought:

1. Coffee: We enjoyed the coffee. I had mine with a little more cinnamon than advised, ha. The good weather and fresh air made the atmosphere more enjoyable.

2. Far East Meatballs: So tasty! I wanted to order more! You gotta try it!

3. Devils on Horseback: Now, this was a different taste, blending something new with something familiar! The dates (fruit) reminded me of a sausage in appearance while the wrapped bacon added to that familiar pork taste. Unique taste that you have to try at least once!

The interior looks quite nice, modern, and inviting. It was truly a great experience!

Thanks Emilie for the awesome experience! This review was long overdue! Looking forward to visiting again!

My wife and I just finished lunch at Emil’s in Augusta, GA—and honestly, I’m still thinking about it. From the very first bite to the last, there wasn’t a single misstep. Not one disappointing moment on the plate.

We started with the Bar Bites, and they immediately set the tone. The Far East Meatballs were bold, comforting, and packed with flavor, while the Caprese Piccolo was downright brilliant—fresh, creative, and unexpectedly memorable.

Then came the sweet things… and wow. The Buttermilk Biscuits paired with their house-made jams and spreads were pure comfort—warm, rich, and absolutely delicious. We wrapped it all up with the Red Velvet Cookie Sandwich, which was indulgent in the best possible way. Mmmm is an understatement.

And here’s the part that truly blew me away: everything we ate was either gluten-free, vegetarian, or vegan. Every bite felt like it should have been a guilty pleasure—but somehow it was both indulgent and wholesome.

Emil’s manages to pull off that rare balance where food feels decadent, satisfying, and nourishing all at once. Bad choices never tasted—or felt—so good.

Unfortunately, we forgot photos of the food. , but here’s a glimpse from the inside.

My significant other and I were looking for quick bite during snow where every other option was closed. The service was top tier, being greeted by everyone on the staff. The atmosphere was delicate and calm. We ordered two sandwiches, and I don’t know what we were expecting, but it definitely wasn’t that size. $8 for a tiny slider? This cafe is definitely for the rich and the tourists of Augusta. I ended up giving mine to my boyfriend because he was getting tattooed and I knew he needed it more, but upon opening it, I wanted to cry. I just wasn’t expecting the food to be so small and after spending over $17 on it out of convenience was just disappointing. At least it tasted good, I think, and we received it fast… Maybe I’ll go back if I get a pay raise or eat a hearty meal before attending

Emil’s is a great addition to the downtown! I went during the day for the coffeeshop/cafe portion and had a good experience. The staff were very hospitable and made sure you had water at your table while you were there. The decor is great and the cushiony chairs are very comfortable. The coffee was good, I ordered a caramel latte, and while the syrups did seem house-made (a plus), I couldn’t taste it very well. I would recommend them being a little stronger! However, it was reasonably priced, landing under $6. Later on, I tried the toaster strudel with their strawberry hibiscus jam, that was delicious! My only critique there is that it was pretty small and cost $6, I don’t know if the portion really matches the price. Overall, this is a place you should definitely check out, and I’m excited to try the on tap drinks version of Emil’s sometime.

I have recently been told that you can only use your laptop at the bar near the window, so just keep constraint that in mind if you are wanting to work/study.

Friendly staff. God is freshly prepared. Great concept on the beer taps. Customers put their own and get charged by the ounce. Beers were cold and they had a great selection

New Spot alert! Emil’s is a lovely touch to downtown Augusta. You can grab a coffee to go or catch up with friends in the afternoon over a selection of house made snacks. This could also be a place to stay a while and sip on wine/beer and enjoy a modern atmosphere. They have a tap wall where you can purchase drinks by the oz. I’m looking forward to what more Emils will offer in the future. Welcome to Augusta!
