Conveniently located on the 3rd floor of the Westfield at WTC, La Pizza & La Pasta provides a casual dining experience that works well for both tourists and the local after-work crowd. Despite the “open-air” layout of the restaurant, the noise level was surprisingly moderate, allowing for easy conversation.
The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the service. I was most impressed by my waitress, who was patient and knowledgeable. She really managed to curate a warm and relaxed evening for us.
regarding the food, the mushroom lasagna was tasty and hit the spot. I also ordered the hibiscus martini—it was good, though quite distinct; it drank more like an Old Fashioned than a standard martini.
Overall, a solid spot for a convenient dinner with warm hospitality.

Great italian restaurant in the financial district. They change the menu a lot and the chef is not flexible AT ALL. They won’t accept the most minor changes to what’s on the menu. The menu is the menu, no exceptions. I also went to celebrate a birthday and made a reservation months in advance and requested a table by the window. They didn’t honor the request and were quite rude about it. Generally, I would would the hosts are grumpy. I keep going back because the food and location are good, so I’d say it’s a mixed bag. I love going to the packaged foods area on the way out to buy sweets. They usually have things on sale, but not this time.

Lasagne Emiliane
Salsicciotta Pie

The hand crafted multi layer lasagna will melt in your mouth.

The pizza pie is generously topped with mushroom and sausage crumbles. While I admired the appearance, it wasn’t my favorite pie. The pie was so flimsy that I was unable to hold it with my hands; I actually needed a fork and knife.

When you dine, be sure to request seating next to the window so you can get a beautiful view of lower Manhattan.

However, do not get your hopes up if you are trying to see the WTC waterfall memorial because trees are obscuring the view.

I really enjoyed this Italian restaurant; it was my first time trying Italian cuisine in New York, and it far exceeded my expectations. The ham was incredibly great, and the thin-crust pizza was quite interesting with a rich flavor profile. However, the salmon didn’t quite hit the mark. The pasta, on the other hand, was absolutely delicious—the sauce and ingredients were both excellent. Additionally, the service was very attentive.

The service is impeccable! The food is amazing. Don’t shy away from this location. Sit yourself down and enjoy the views, smells and surrounding atmosphere. The pizza comes gluten free if you ask and the pasta is delicious! Do yourself a favor and check this gem out!

Situated in Eataly, La Pizza & La Pasta can be hard to find, but they have wonderful views of One World Trade and the below memorial. We were a group of 8 with two little ones. The restaurant was kid friendly which was nice as they were provided with crayons and a coloring sheet.

Overall, the food was good. No one from our group seemed to have any complaints, but at the same time no one was raving. It was satisfying. I personally got the diavola dolce pizza and it was ok, I probably wouldn’t get it again as I hoped the hot honey would have been more detectable and flavorful, it just felt like salami pizza.

This place is the perfect lunch spot or a casual dinner.

This is like our go to place for good food with a great view. We almost always get the calzone, this time we ordered the truffle pizza as well and it was delicious. They have a special menu until August 31st and one of the items on this menu is the pistachio caramel tiramisu and it comes on special trolley :). The salad is also from the August menu, but we did not like the potatoes in it.

I recently visited Eatly and had a decent experience overall. I tried both the pasta and the pizza — they were good, but nothing particularly special or memorable. Definitely not bad, just not “wow” either.
One thing that stood out was the pricing. Compared to Italy or other parts of Europe, it felt a bit overpriced for what you get. But I suppose that’s somewhat expected in the U.S., where Italian food tends to come at a premium.
If you’re craving Italian and don’t mind paying a bit more, Eatly might be worth checking out. Just don’t expect a culinary revelation.

I’ve gone here twice so far and plan to return for my birthday! The food makes me feel like I’m in Italy; it’s all imported I enjoyed the luxurious experience. The view is very nice, and the waiters are very attentive, so don’t worry about pouring your own refill. They have you covered! Definitely worth it in my opinion. Be back soon!
