This place has very excellent quality sushi. The service and decor is wonderful. Their kumimoto oysters are perfect in the winter season. The service was impeccable, our server names “Happy”, was a complete delight. I haven’t come back here since they changed management many years ago. This time back I was not disappointed. Thanks.

My family and I have been coming here for all my life (26 years). They are have delicious sushi and hibachi options. Our favorites are the tricolor sushi, shrimp tempura appetizer, and Montauk/Naruto rolls. We also love the hibachi, salad, rice, all of it. We order from here at least once a week :)!
They always do their best and will fix something for us if we ask! 🙂

Went for lunch on a weekday so it was quiet and service was super quick. The lunch roll special is a great and so so filling. Everything was fresh and delicious…super friendly atmosphere…a great place for lunch or dinner.

I’ve been frequenting Sakaya since it opened. It has the freshest sushi in the area and a lovely staff. That’s very accommodating.
It’s very quiet and dark, which I enjoy, but some people find it too quiet and prefer other restaurants in the area that have more of a vibe
I think of Sakaya as a local place for local people and my kids and grandkids. Love it when they come in from out of town.
And prices are fair not over priced like most of the other local restaurants

Such a good experience- waiter was friendly, ambiance was very classy, and the food was so amazing- top quality sushi (the green dragon roll was especially incredible) and the sashimi was also very fresh and generous in portions. The pork katsu and sauces that came with was also delicious and crispy. Totally worth the money and left feeling full and happy.

We read the reviews and decided to try this place as we’re always looking for good sushi. The restaurant is very nice, quiet, ambiance is soothing. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. We had the grilled octopus that was a bit chewy. For our entree we had the sushi and sashimi for two. The presentation was lovely and had we known, that was a lot of food. The off-putting part about the sashimi and sushi was the temperature. Even with the sashimi slices in a bed of ice, the fish slices was at room temperature. I had one sushi that tasted metallic. We had a nice light cool sake though.
