We serve traditional Mexican taco shop food but what sets us apart from everyone else is that we offer traditional mercado food. These dishes are all based around handmade corn dough known as masa that we make in house. When we first opened our doors in 2002. we noticed this food wasn’t commonly known, let alone available so we set out to give people a little piece of Central Mexican cuisine.

I came here on the recommendation of my sister. Its a normal taco shop. I Love Shredded Beef Burritos. So I ordered one, along with a bag of Carrots since the salsa bar does not offer Carrots which is kinda strange. The meal was 12 for the burrito and Carrots were a couple of bucks. So 15.00 for dinner with no drink.
Burrito was nice and hot, I cut it in half. It is normal size for a burrito. I was surprised to see that its not a Shredded Beef Burrito. But instead a Bean, Shredded Beef, and Rice burrito. There was soo little Beef in it, it was like a tamale. Very little beef, lots of Beans and about an equal portion of rice with beans. The Beef was not even 1/4 of the contents. How disappointed. I can go open up beans and throw it in a tortilla at my own home. There was basically no Flavor either without hot sauce. Hot sauce medium green was pleasant though.
I would suggest the place down the block instead.
I will try this place one more time, just incase someone was messing up in the kitchen. The front staff was plesent. If its better on my next visit, I’ll update my thoughts. I like being fair, I make plenty of mistakes in my life. But if it is the same experience I will never go back.

Was early and waiting on VFW to open. Seen a small shop for Mexican food and I was a bit hungry. Thought I would order my standard issue….Carne Asada burrito plain…that means meat only. I really like to taste flavors of just the meat. Now, I will occasionally pour some sauce on it to spice it up. I also ordered some fries.
Food came quickly and prepared as I requested.
Now, I have eaten many, many burritos as I ordered here, so I would like to think i know a good meat burrito. I was a bit disappointed as the meat seemed quite dry, and for the lack of a better word, a bit sandy. Not that there was sand in the meat..it is my description. I am not sure what cut of meat is used here..but even with saturating the meat with the three different sauces…the odd meat flavor that was dry and “sandy” was at the forefront. I am not sure if it is always like this..but if so, I will move on…
Oh yes, this is a “Pepsi” fountain location….no coke, or diet coke in cans in the fridge….bummer city!

Quiet expensive compared to other Mexican restaurants around the area. Years ago gorditas were delicious. It is losing its touch. Tables and restrooms were did not look clean. I hope management or owner pays more attention to that to prevent loyal customers from not returning.

I have no complaints at all with this location. They are very kind when you walk in the door and are great with me when I order for my picky kids. I always recommend this location to all my family and friends. It’s very clean in this restaurant and the food is nothing but delicious! The first thing you notice when you walk in is the delicious smell but also the heat from the kitchen was uncomfortable. It’s 2025 I wanna eat my food in A/C lol. I ordered 2 Gorditas (1 asada and 1 Adobada) both meats were high quality but low on salt. The actual corn gordita tasted fresh handmade. My wife ordered 2 enchiladas (shredded chicken and cheese), unfortunately the cheese they used was yellow cheddar style cheese. We both expected a fresher type of cheese like mozzarella, fresco, or queso quesadilla as well as sour cream on or on the side like most other restaurants. Despite this the flavor was still good. The cashiers looked absolutely miserable, I hope my smile and tip made their day a little better
