Stockman’s Bar on Main Street Bozeman Montana is a classic western Saloon and Eatery. Embracing the grand history of the Old West and the Cattlemen and Cattle Barons that built Bozeman in the turn of the 19th Century. Montana was built on ranching and agriculture. There has been a Stockman’s in many of the great ranching communities throughout the state and Bozeman was no exception. Stockman’s was historically one door to the west of the current location and we are proud to be able to bring a Montana tradition back to Downtown Bozeman. Honoring the great Cattle Barons of our great state and the hardy men who fed it’s citizens.

Wow! What a great new spot in town. The bar/restaurant can be accessed from the street as well as through Schnee’s. The food, drinks and ambiance were all great! Our server Danielle was also incredible. Highly recommend!

Awesome Burgers! I’ve been to Stockmans a couple of times. Drinks are spendy, food menu is very limited, but the burgers are delicious! If you’re shopping downtown and want a yummy lunch stop in for a buyer and a beer!!

Nice interior and bartender knew what he was about. But the burger might be one of the worst in town. Dry boring bun, forgettable patty. Only thing memorable was the peppers that came on it. Too bad considering the effort they put in the rest of the place.

Honestly, I’ve heard nothing but great things, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. The atmosphere when we walked in was great, but unfortunately the service didn’t live up to it. Our server felt pretty disengaged and inattentive—interactions were minimal, and it often felt like things were just being slid across the table rather than delivered with care. It gave the impression that she’d rather be elsewhere, which took away from the overall experience.
That said, the drinks were decent, and I appreciated the vibe of the space. I just wish the service had matched it. At this point, I don’t think we’ll be returning, but I hope this was just an off night.

We really enjoyed our first evening here. Staff was responsive, friendly, and the food (and drinks) were really spot on. We had the salad, hush puppies and Steak with Chimichurri. All were excellent!
