Ice cream is ok. Wasn’t my destination, just passing by and wanted to give it a try so went with one scoop mint chocolate chip. One scoop literally, that’s all ya get. Not a generous scoop like I typically receive at other ice cream shops I have visited. Place is cool though. Nice spot for a quiet early fall Sunday evening.

Smokey Buns has a cute elevated casual vibe that makes it equally perfect for a laid-back lunch or a low-key evening out. They have a tasty vegan burger and a nice bar, I love a mix of high low so a cocktail and burger is a fun dining experience.

I’m still thinking about how delicious the Tuesday Jerk Chicken special was. The sandwich was pretty big and the bun was warm and flavorful. The jerk chicken was combined with slaw, avocado and BBQ sauce. Pretty hip vibe and limited seating with about 4 tables for 4 and 2 tables for 2 and some barstool seating as well. You order at the counter and pick it up. You can also order ahead. Cool decor and felt more like a cocktail bar than a burger joint.

I don’t have a photo because I finished it so fast. It was delicious. I ordered the cheeseburger with bacon and fries on the side. This was my first time having a smash burger. It was perfect. So glad I went in and ordered. Very cozy atmosphere. Perfect for a date or a place to take visiting friends. Upscale casual. Very friendly staff.

I brought my dad here for lunch on his birthday & we had an excellent experience! The staff are friendly, the space is gorgeous, and the food is delicious. I had the blackened salmon sandwich, which was absolutely perfect & my dad had a classic cheeseburger, which he loved. Shoutout to Chef Joe & to Helen for their extra kindness and hospitality. Looking forward to my next visit!

Adorable trendy little place for a quick but cool sit down! Saw lots of pickup/take out. Friendly service, delicious burgers that heavily satisfied a burger craving!! Would return if in the area again

Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed by the lack of quality and flavor of the cheese burger and chicken sandwich (not pictured). The fries weren’t even salted. There are better burger places in the area.

Spent a day in the Hamptons with a friend who brought us here. I was seriously disappointed. But let’s start with the GOOD:
1. The burger patties themselves were very juicy and flavorful.
2. The atmosphere of the place was decent.

And unfortunately, that’s where the positive ends. I ordered a D.I.Y. burger with lettuce and tomato only (Yeah, I’m boring… don’t hold it against me). The burger had barely one slice of lettuce that didn’t even cover the entire footprint of the burger patty itself. There was no slice of tomato, but instead a weird tomato paste-type substance (I guess they call it tomato jam?). It was highly disappointing in both flavor and texture.

The french fries were downright terrible. They were nothing more than frozen Ore-Ida brand-type shoestring fries that were so horrendously over-cooked that they were crunchy and far closer to the texture of potato chips, than french fries. I thought. maybe I had just an unlucky batch, but my friend’s were the same, and the order I eyeballed at the next table down appeared the same.

I asked for a salt shaker. This place has no salt shakers or salt packets. Instead, the counter person scooped a small condiment cup with some flaky salt in it and handed it to me. WHAT?

FINALLY – we all ordered sodas. I honestly though there was a hidden camera somewhere and that I had been “punked” when we were all handed 8 ounce glass soda bottles. 8 ounces. Are you kidding me? For those keeping score, thats only 2/3 of the amount of soda you’d get in a regular 12 ounce CAN! I had to ration each sip to make sure I had enough left to wash down the horrendous french fries.

For being a place in the glitzy and glamorous Hamptons, I would have gotten a MUCH more satisfying meal at McDonalds, at probably half the price, and enough soft drink to get me through more than 2 or 3 bites of the meal.

Do yourself a favor. Skip this place.

Oh and PS – they surely do ask for a tip on their payment screen, despite you having to order at the counter and pick up your own food at the counter. I left a tip, but had I known how the experience would have turned out I definitely would not have.

Really wanted to like this place as it’s got a cool vibe, but sadly both the cheeseburger & mushroom burgers were soggy & not very tasty – the same for the fries. Perhaps it’s better if eating there vs take out. Might try again another time.

Had a fabulous early dinner here before heading to a show at the nearby Guild Theatre. The French onion burger was delicious with a crispy juicy patty and fresh buns. A friend had the lobster roll which was a great portion with lots of big chunks of meat. Don’t miss the cocktails here! They have a full selection of bourbons and other seasonal specials. Counter service so it was super quick. Great option for families or friends grabbing a quick and affordable meal!
