I cannot overstate how good Abe’s was. If you’re in the area and looking for pizza, you need to be here.
The pizza was absolutely fantastic. Fresh homemade dough, with a thin crust and cooked to perfection. The tomato sauce has a very pleasant tang to it and you can taste some seasonings in the background of the flavor. The pepperoni was delicious, the bell peppers and onions were fresh, and the mozzarella was incredible. All of this together made one of the most enjoyable and tasty authentic pizzas I’ve ever had.
On top of the amazing pizza, Abe and his wife Marie are jovial, energetic, engaging, and they love to talk to you about anything and everything with a good natured humor that could bring the sun out from behind the clouds. It feels like coming home after a long time and having a party.

Rustic little shop. It is a rare find. You do not expect such good Neapolitan pizza in a little town. Honestly, it is not the level of Tony’s in SF or Settebello in LV, but it is good.
The owner, Abe and Maria are so much fun to talk with! If you come by, please take a seat and listen to their story!

THE BEST PIZZA, BEST ATMOSPHERE, BEST COSTUMER SERVICE!! We were a Party of 11 that came in an hour till closing, YET owner Abe and his Portuguese Queen (his wife) made my family and I feel so so so welcomed and treated us like family. It was truly a memorable and FUN experience. We had SUCH a great time with so much laugher, the kids loved it!!!. All of that on top of delicious pizza?!
What more could you ask for?
Definitely going to make this spot a visiting staple when we come back.

How lucky are we to have wood fired pizza that’s THIS GOOD right here in Morro Bay?! Abe is a Napoletana-style dough master and all ingredients are fresh as can be. He and Marie are the most lovely, warm hosts and visiting them is a treat in itself.

Where else can you stand with the pizza maker and watch your wood fired pizza being cooked? And give the pizza maker — with whom you’re on a first name basis — the ok that your pizza is perfectly done, or ask him to toast it a little more? This is the unique experience at Abe’s. Delicious pizzas. Super fresh ingredients (the just-picked green peppers on the Supreme pizza are particularly memorable). Morro Bay Coffee Company did our community a service by giving Abe and his wife a home for their incredible food and service.

We had a wonderful evening. If you want to experience authentic Italian pizza, you absolutely must go here. The hosts Abe and Marie were extremely friendly, and we felt very comfortable. Had the absolute luck and pleasure of stopping by Abe wood-fire pizza for a margarita pizza tonight- I can’t recommend this place enough! Our pizza was close to if not the best pizza I’ve ever had. And not only was the food amazing, Marie and Abe were so kind and welcoming! Please stop by and give their food a try. I know we will be back soon for more and to say hi to our new friends!
