This is a lovely, small restaurant in the Easton area of Bristol. It’s a bit out of the way but well worth seeking out. Also, it’s so small that the kitchen is in full view which is no bad thing. The menu is tapas themed with several small dishes recommended. We were expertly guided through both the menu, and wine list, by Holly. One of the starter dishes (Carrot Terrine) had a white vegetable that we struggled to recognise. The chef, Luke, told us it was white carrot which goes through a light fermentation process (perhaps there was a clu ein the name ). Ee enjoyed our choices of Brioche Tartine, Brown Shrimp, Chicken Liver, Prancing, Moules rounded off with Chocolate Mousse and Creme Brulee. All in all we had a very enjoyable experience. Recommended.

The baffled king was amazing! We went for the valentine’s day set menu. Staff were so attentive and lovely, food was simple yet absolutely delicious. Wonderful choice of drinks and perfect atmosphere. Special shoutout to our waitress Molly, who (as we’re non locals) wrote us a list of pubs/bars to attend over the weekend. Thanks so much!

French style tapas, perfect spot for an intimate date night! Serving authentic French dishes and delicious desserts this place is the perfect spot for a date night. Plus there’s free parking just outside which is always a plus in Bristol!

Really nice atmosphere in there, however the food was disappointing, the cabbage came out tasting like gas and 90% burnt (charred on the stove), which they did kindly replace; We ordered 7 plates but nothing stood out. Beef ribs was tough to be honest so wouldn’t return.

The staff were really friendly and hospitable, taking time to talk through the menu options. And the food is excellent! The French onion soup is a must have.

We ordered six plates of tapas, and I loved how they brought them out in an order that just worked. Sometimes they even paired plates together, which made the flavours pop even more. Every dish had my taste buds dancing, and the whole experience felt really special. Honestly, I couldn’t recommend this place more.
