The coffee bar is owned by an attorney who values making clients feel welcomed at her office, located upstairs in the building. There’s no better place to commune with colleagues, friends, family or meet new acquaintances over coffee, cocktails or even on the outdoor cigar patios. From an Aussie tourist, this Cafe+ is a must-see for anyone visiting Montgomery. Great coffee, wonderful owners, amazing atmosphere, delicious cinnamon rolls, and such a positive vibe. As a Family owned establishment, momma and auntie make this a special place.
They also have drinks and live music if you want to visit in the evening or peaceful rooms where you can just chill throughout the day.

I stopped by Baristas and Barristers for an iced mocha latte, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly sweet and so smooth! But what truly made my experience unforgettable was the kindness of the staff. The ladies working there were beyond amazing! When I mentioned that I was in town for a big exam, they went above and beyond by offering me a private tea room to study in.
The cozy atmosphere and their genuine support made me feel right at home. I’ve never felt so welcomed and at ease in a coffee shop before. If you’re looking for great coffee and even better hospitality, this is the place to go! Highly recommend! ☕

This was a real find! Wonderful oat milk latte, plus cinnamon rolls to boot. A few minutes off the highway. Nicest folks who own and run the place. Definitely recommend for coffee or a drink after work (or for karaoke night!).

It has been years since I was so impressed with a place that I immediately felt I had to post a glowing review, but Baristas and Bannisters has changed that streak! This is a beautiful, thoughtfully designed coffee shop with art that celebrates history and culture. The owner (I presume she’s the owner, anyway, from the pride she takes in her shop) was so very friendly and kind. She struck up conversation with me and when I mentioned I’m on my way back to Maryland from Mobile, she went into “mom mode” and was making sure I know all the solo travel tips to stay safe. She was so caring and makes a killer caramel latte. I love this little shop and will absolutely stop by everytime I’m passing through when I roadtrip. It’s clear that community thrives in this coffee shop from how her many regulars treat her and each other, and lord knows we need a strong sense of community these days. Beautful shop, delicious coffee, lovely atmosphere.

This is a really nice place! The setting is in a house converted into a business. Upstairs is a lawyer, and downstairs is a coffee shop. The lady who works there is so friendly and sweet. The coffee is really good and well priced! For two cappuccinos it was less than $10. This was one of the nicest coffee places I’ve been to.

We stopped by this morning before we hit the road to head back to TN and I’m so glad we did! My cappuccino was delicious and my husband enjoyed his shot of espresso.
