Enjoyed a wonderful pre-symphony meal here on a Saturday night. Gorgeous décor, inviting atmosphere, and the perfect balance of lively energy without feeling rushed. Our server, Emily, was attentive, knowledgeable, and mindful of our concert start time, ensuring our courses were perfectly paced so we could relax and still make it to the performance comfortably. The steaks were cooked beautifully, and the wine selection paired wonderfully with the meal. If you’re heading to the theatre or symphony and want an elegant, stress-free dining experience within easy reach of the venue, this is an excellent choice for a memorable pre-event dinner. We’ll definitely return!

We went to The Grillroom Chophouse & Wine Bar on a weekday evening without a reservation and were seated right away. For drinks, we tried the “Maybe I’m Old Fashioned” and the “Golden Hour” — both were excellent. We shared a 22oz ribeye steak cooked perfectly to order, along with a grilled pork chop and crispy sesame Brussels sprouts. The service was quick and attentive throughout. A great spot if you’re looking for a quality steak dinner in downtown Chicago.

The service is attentive and fast. It was not busy on the Thursday evening we ate there. The raw oysters were fresh and delicious. We tried 4 different main dishes and they all were excellent. I recommend the grilled pork chop. The cheesecake was a perfect ending to the meal.

I called inquiring about a private/ semi private space to host my daughter’s birthday dinner. I spoke with Jason the manager who was kind and very accommodating. Based on our call, I moved forward with reserving their private room, which was a great choice. I was also allowed to decorate and customize the room to my liking. On the day of the dinner, I arrived early to get the room set up, Kelly our server was so helpful. Once my daughter and her guests arrived the room was beautiful. Kelly worked her magic and had signature drinks ready for the guests. The food was delicious and the service was excellent!! We had just visited a steakhouse the week prior but the steak here was much more flavorful and prepared exactly to our liking. I will definitely be back and refer others to this restaurant. The space and service was perfect which made this even more memorable for my daughter and her guests!! Great service and great food!! 5- stars for me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was a great find! We ate here for NYE dinner and it did not disappoint. Our waitress was very attentive, had great recommendations, and had overall great service. We started with the charcuterie board which was delicious! The chicken was delicious as well. Will most certainly be back when we are back in town!

Wasn’t as good as expected for the price point. While my pork chop was tasty it was well over cooked from the medium I asked for. The chicken that was added to the salad was so over done it bordering on jerky.

Perfect dinner before a show or just because. Their seafood selection is terrific! Loved the grilled oysters and cocktails. My favorite bite was the branzino. Oh and the sides. Service is top notch too!

Stopped by The Grillroom before a show in the Loop and it ended up being the highlight of the night. The space feels classic and comfortable with wood, leather, and warm lighting that pulls you in right away ✨
We started with the burrata It came with dried tomatoes, arugula, pine nuts, balsamic, and a pine nut pesto that brought it all together. Then we tried the tuna tartare with avocado, sweet chili ponzu, sesame, and house-made taro chips. Super fresh and flavorful.
The main dish was the 32 oz porterhouse Cooked just right and packed with flavor. We had it with truffle fries and cleaned the plate. Dessert was chocolate cake and affogato ☕ Simple, rich, and the perfect way to wrap up the meal.
Service was friendly and everything came out at the right pace. It’s a great spot whether you’re grabbing dinner before a show or just looking for a solid meal downtown

We celebrated our anniversary weekend which culminated in a dinner celebration here. The staff was great, our waiter was funny and knowledgeable, and the food was incredible. This was our first time eating here, and we were not disappointed. I would eat here again.

My husband and I just had a wonderful dinner here at the Grillroom. Our server, Emily, was outstanding. She was so attentive, accommodating and had excellent recommendations. At one point I had a question and apologized, knowing she was busy and she responded, “not at all. I’m so happy to be right here”. It feels like one doesn’t come across customer service like this often anymore. So wanted to give her a huge shoutout! The hamachi crudo was excellent, the steak perfect and the fries and brussel sprouts perfectly crispy. Also, Ernesto was awesome with refilling our waters and clearing empty dishes as soon as we were in need. Overall, a wonderful experience!
