I ordered two soups to go, and when I got home, I realized they had given me the same broth for both — even though I had ordered two different kinds. They both had the same tomato broth. On top of that, they barely put anything in the soup — just a few tiny pieces of meat and the rest was all noodles.
And honestly, the service is terrible. The first time I came here was incredible, but ever since then it’s just been disappointment after disappointment. At this point, I don’t even know if I’ll be coming back.
The fried chicken is not just fried it’s baptized in flavor. Perfectly crisp on the outside, gloriously tender on the inside, and seasoned like someone dared them to go too far and thank God they did. You can go classic, get lit with the hot, or go full Overlord and let the spice obliterate your taste buds in the best way possible. Their crispy, spicy, juicy excellence comes in steaming hot with serious intentions to conquer your hunger and burn your tastebuds.
But wait, it gets better. The dumpling soup here is criminally underrated. Big portions with insane flavors! This is not the place for a polite salad. This is where you roll up your sleeves, destroy a plate of chicken, sip something strong and cold, and leave wondering what just happened (but in a good way).
Come hungry. Leave conquered. All hail the Overlord.
While parking is limited, you can find street parking in front of the restaurant and on surrounding side streets.
It’s BYOB here too, so if you want to to enjoy some…bring some.
We did the build your own soup option, which had fresh ingredients you choose yourself. It is charged by weight so you decide how much you want! With 6 broth options and like 10 noodles options this was a really fun experience. The soup was mad good! I got the original broth at a 4 spice level. I chose a little of everything to try! I highly recommend.
Oh, and definitely splurge for their lychee / jasmine iced tea!
Had the recommended Spicy Chicken Burger. I wanted to compare it to their Korean counterpart in Kahala. It’s not bad, but not better than their competitor. The fries were pretty good, but the chicken was somewhat bland tasting. I so wanted it to be exceptional. I will say it was a good cut of chicken, and the prices are very reasonable. ✌️
The fry on this chicken is light, crispy, flavorful, and if you want it spicy, it will be spicy ️. The Katsu fried tenders are to die for, so so so delicious and my favorite on the menu. My wife swears by the wraps and say they are actually the best thing in the menu!
Definitely worth a try if you’re visiting, because it’s a little different than what you are used to, but since I live here I’LL BE BACK AGAIN AND AGAIN
Been too long, now they also have noodles! Gonna try tomorrow! Will report back!
