Wystrój lokalu nawiązuje klimatem do starej Warszawy oraz klasycznej miejskiej restauracji. Szef kuchni Łukasz Federowicz tworzy potrawy oparte na dawnych przepisach serwując wybrane specjały bezpośrednio przy gościach. W roku 2016 lokal otrzymał rekomendację Slow Food Polska, doceniając staranność w doborze regionalnych produktów i troskę o lokalnych dostawców. Polish food at its finest. Stary Dom is a stunning venue filled with timeless wooden furniture, beautiful décor, and a real sense of history.
The menu is thoughtfully designed, offering something for everyone across different tastes and dietary preferences. Classic Polish dishes are served in a modern, elegant way. We shared several plates to try as much as possible, and every dish was absolutely delicious. The Polish beef tartare is a must — prepared tableside by the chef, who tailors the flavours and spices to your preference. Traditional pierogi and gołąbki were simply outstanding.
Excellence in every bite.
The atmosphere felt quite formal, which may be part of the venue’s style. Personally, I would have enjoyed a slightly more relaxed and lively vibe, with more interaction and explanations from the team — but service itself was still exceptional, and we had a great time.
We arrived without a reservation and were accommodated immediately. A special mention to the lovely lady at the cloakroom — an absolute angel.
Stary Dom is a perfect choice for a family dinner or a romantic date and is definitely worth recommending for anyone seeking an elegant Polish dining experience.

Absolutely fantastic experience! Stary Dom is one of the best restaurants I’ve visited in Warsaw. The food was absolutely delicious beautifully presented and full of authentic flavor. A restaurant outside the center of Warsaw. The atmosphere is impressive and the colors are very warm, however, I cannot ignore that the place was not at all warm inside and especially in winter I consider this unacceptable especially in such good restaurants. We visited the restaurant in November and did not take off our jackets at all during the meal, which was unpleasant because the place was cold. Reservations are usually required for dinner at the restaurant. The service was truly impeccable, with very polite staff and high-quality service. However, the food did not live up to expectations. We were not satisfied with what we tried. Maybe some things were not to our taste, I think it was a big mistake that the vegetables in the soup we got were not cooked properly. Fortunately or unfortunately, restaurants are judged mainly by their food, and while the space and atmosphere were very nice, the food was below the prices you pay.

Good visit. I was able to get in as 1 person without a reservation in the afternoon. Good rye soup. Unique execution of a pierogi potentially using lemon in the sauce. I ordered the sweet cheese thinking it was a pierogi as well, instead it was fried squares. They were quiet greasy and I would not recommend them, but overall still a great experience

The restaurant has a lot of charm, with a warm, rustic interior in classic old-Polish style that immediately creates a welcoming and high-quality atmosphere. Service is exceptional. The staff are genuinely friendly, attentive, and very well organized. From the moment you arrive, several team members guide you to your table and assist you throughout the evening. There is even a proper, staffed cloakroom with a ticket system for jackets and coats, which adds to the overall sense of professionalism and comfort.
The menu is up to date, well structured, and offers an excellent selection. One absolute highlight is the beef tartare (Befsztyk tatarski). It is prepared directly at your table by the chef, using a small preparation cart. During the process, the chef explains the history and tradition behind the dish. I am not usually a big tartare fan, but this one was outstanding and truly memorable.
Other dishes were equally impressive. The żurek soup was rich and flavorful, the duck was perfectly prepared, and everything was clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Complimentary bread with traditional Polish smalec served in a jar is a great touch, with several types of bread available.
The restaurant also offers a dedicated vegetarian menu, which is quite rare for traditional Polish cuisine and shows real consideration for different dietary preferences.
