Thanks to our friends who live close by we had a great pleasure to visit Savoy and try their food. It is located past Lake Geneva, right on the waterfront of Lake Como. The great view of the lake only adds great attribute to this place. Our friends made the reservation on Saturday as they already check this place couple of times. We obviously sat outside to enjoy the view and the warm weather and our server Brittany was awesome 🙂 The menu is short which means that products are carefully selected as they use farm to table idea there. I wish there could be a selection of fish right from the lake.

Miso Hummus–that hummus was absolutely great, silky, well balanced with miso and berries. Basil Pistou broke all the flavors ideally.

Chilean Sea Bass–cant never go wrong with good sea bass, cooked to perfection, very delicate. Served with asparagus, radishes was a very light dish. Very wine friendly.

Yucatan Tacos–Rostaed pork tacos with habanero salsa a very well done Mexican cuisine classic. Reminded me of Tulum, very comforting. A little less salt on the meat would be perfect.

Filet Mignon–every steak loving person can get satisfied with this dish. Garlic potato puree, cipollini cherry wine reduction was great pairing.

Mushroom Tostatdas–those tostadas were great, all the flavors packed together. Absolutely delicious.

Desserts:

Pistachio Berry tart–I think that is their flagship pastry dish and is fantastic. We do not eat deserts very often but killed this one quickly, not to sweet and chocolate was not overwhelming either. Gooseberry tart gave it nice sour kick.

We had a bottle of great white wine which is reasonably priced. Our friends drank few old fashioned and the were well made, strong, aromatic. One big ball of ice would make it an ideal classic 😉

Cant wait to go back again to check the duck dish and enjoy the food again.

Would give it more stars if I could. Were in Lake Geneva for two nights and had wasted Friday on a restaurant that was not worthy so were very much looking forward to a great dinner. Reserved patio and were sad to find out it was closed due to impending storm. We had not yet eaten inside a restaurant since the pandemic started so were uncomfortable at having to stay indoors. However, they were kind enough to set us in our own section, did not set others in there and the staff were doing a great job wearing their masks. So, we were as comfortable as we could be in the situation. So glad we stayed!

The meal started with the Executive Chef coming out and serving the amuse-bouche. At that point we knew we were in for a treat. It was a tart made with blue cheese and a fermented blueberry compote on the top. Then a honey sauce in a little dispenser you could squeeze on yourself. Divine! At that point we decided we wanted to order as many items as possible to try.

We had the Turkish Deviled eggs and they were amazing. Cannot tell you what all was on it. But we wanted to lick the plate. Then the Watermelon and Tomato salad – which was light and flavorful. For dinner I ordered the Ribeye MR to Rare and it came out perfect!!! My husband had the Lamb Chops with raspberry sauce on them – amazing! The ribeye was in a red wine reduction that I could drink. For dessert we ordered the GooeyButter cake. It was not gooey – but very firm and almost dry – but the texture and the flavor was outstanding – just think it is named wrong.

I asked to have the Executive Chef return to the table so I could compliment him. I shared that we travel the world, are kind of like foodies and this was one of the top meals I have EVER eaten. Truly amazing!!

The location on the lake is perfect. We plan to try out the hotel next time we are in town.

Go there!

What a fabulous restaurant! The setting, right on the shore of Lake Como, is perfect with amazing views. The staff is wonderful and attentive – Valerie was excellent! And the farm-to-table food was amazingly presented and incredibly tasty. We look forward to returning!

Amazing food, drinks and crew managing their soft opening. Chef Hernandez and the kitchen team are incredibly creative and kind, coming out to say hello and talk about their food, without the pretentiousness we find with this caliber dishes in the city !
Fantastic French Marguerita which can be hard to find done right, well balanced and didn’t overdo on the Chambord
Thank you for a great experience at our newly found getaway

Going to Savoy is always a treat! Drinks are beautifully made and are delectable. The food hasn’t disappointed me yet. It’s different every time I go as they create artistic and nummy dishes from seasonal produce.

Technically not open for the public yet but they let guests at the French Country Inn B&B try on a meal and a bar event — which were 5 stars.

This is a destination spot — only ten minutes from Lake Geneva beach but worlds away from the madness and dirty atmosphere you’ll often see on busy Lake Geneva weekends.

The view here on Como Lake is better than Lake Geneva, the service is 100x better than the restaurants in the main town, and the atmosphere is amazing, with guests willing to let their shirt sleeves out and take another button out to enter the full splendor of vacation relaxation.

I hope I can come back after they’re officially open later in July 2020. As Chicagoans we don’t get up here enough, but we both agree we will make the 90 minute drive just for the fantastic customer service.

We stayed at French Countey Inn and visited Savoy for some drinks. The bartenders Kyle and Jason were wonderful. Kyle was funny, profesional and was mixing delicious drinks.
The Savoy restaurant is a beautiful, romantic and full of history place. I would definitely recommend for anyone who’s looking for hidden gem around Lake Geneva

Food is delicious, but very pricey for a small plate. No complimentary bread or anything, and they were out of a few dishes when we went, which made their menu even more limited.

We stayed in the attached motel and made reservations for the Savoy restaurant. They have things set up as a potentially 3-course meal. Choice of about 8 appetizers; 8 dinners; and 6 desserts. Between the 3 of us; we tried 2 appetizers, 3 dinners, 2 desserts – and, of course, some drinks! The Savoy comes off a little like a “fancy French restaurant” in approach and presentation, yet… The serving sizes are bigger. The blend of vegetables and meat and sauces was outstanding. The service was fast, but not rushed. There are 4 separate rooms to dine in that flow from one to the other. 2 of them were about 2/3 full… and we still felt like we had great attention. The views overlooking Lake Como are fantastic. For dinner, you see the sunset if there at the right time. Prices were very reasonable for what you get – and it feels a lot more quiet than the bustle of Lake Geneva.
