5/5!! This needs to be a stop for you and your family when at Stratton! We went here during peak season expecting typical bar food at a ski resort and wow were we pleasantly surprised!!! The menu was extensive, the food was homemade and our meals were absolutely delicious. We had an ahi tuna bowl (fresh!), a Philly cheesesteak that was top notch, the French Dip and the Pork tenderloin with broccoli rabe. Not only were the meals absolutely fantastic, the staff went out of their way to be friendly, kind and attentive. (We even met the owner, Bobby, who was so gracious and hospitable. We loved that he appeared to have great relationships with his staff and knew them all by name.) Thank you Bobby, Rebecca, Buffy and Olivia!!! We can’t wait to come back again!!

I had the short rib tacos which were delicious! My husband had the bacon jam smash burger with extra bacon also outstanding. Harrison and Rebecca were super friendly. Great local atmosphere. No draft beers but excellent selection of New England craft beers. We’ll definitely be back!

We came for dinner and really enjoyed. Cute, fun place, with a staff that really makes you feel welcome. Menu had a lot of great options and food was very good. I had the Mango chicken salad and my husband had the ahi tuna bowl, with the corn chowder to start. Cocktails were good, and they had some nice wine by the glass.

I’ve been coming to Bar802 for 3 years now. This era of Bar802 is by far the best. You have the best girl gang staff you could ever want. The food is INCREDIBLE. We got the Smashburger Fry Pile and I’m going to be dreaming about it every night until I can eat it again. Bar802 is the best on Stratton and in all of Southern VT!

Ate here during a visit in September 2025. It was too cold for outdoor seating but inside was quaint. Not suitable for larger parties due to size but there were a few tables of 6 present. Prices are common for mountain dining so it was expensive but the food was delicious. My husband had the burger which he thought was phenomenal. I had the cajun chicken sandwich which was flawless. We got the wings (which were sauced chicken tenders but very tasty) and pretzel bites with qeuso. Food was great, service was great and it was a positive experience.

Bar 802 is one of my favorite locales at Stratton and the perrrrfect spot for après after shredding (or falling in Carly’s case) down the mountain all day!

Chef is a master of Latin cooking techniques. Pork tacos were full of flavor, pork was crispy outside and fall apart tender inside. Cauliflower appetizer was flash fried, not battered – so good. The gin cocktails were unique and perfectly balanced. Friendly service too. Such a good experience!
