Fan Girl Cafe has become my new fav coffee shop! Def the best coffee in West Hollywood. You’ve gotta try the Lady Carmalade.

Side note, all the drinks are adorably named after song titles. To accent, they have artist photos decorating the entire cafe. Making the atmosphere super artistic, playful, and fun space to hang and do work.

Plus, they have WiFi and plenty of seating to cozy up and get some work done away from home. You’ve definitely gotta stop by, grab a drink, and say hi. The owners are super nice. And other people who hang out are very friendly creating the perfect sociable environment.

I moved to this neighborhood (SMB/Crescent Heights) in Weho a few months ago and discovered Fan Girl Cafe. It could be easy to miss, especially if you’re driving, as it’s set back from SMB in the parking lot between the Russian deli and Ocean Sushi (which is also 5 stars). So now you have no excuse for missing it!

It’s been a long (long) time since I’ve come across a “coffee shop” that is truly original and unique in its concept and design. FGC (can I call you that?) aims high and nails the landing.

OK, why the ? The approach through the small, drab parking lot gives no hint what awaits you. Open the door and you are pulled inside by all of your senses. The dominant interior color is pink — with each wall and the ceiling in every shade, from blush to magenta and everything in between! ❤️ This is anchored by black chairs, banquettes, frames and a classic bnw checked cafe floor. The lighting is a bit of a miracle as it’s a crazy mix of daylight, ceiling tracks, pin spots, tasteful neon art, a bare Edison bulb and, because this is Weho, a disco ball… But instead of chaos the overall effect is a warm, welcoming, pleasant space. Brava

Then, there’s the aural experience. True to their name, these Fan Girls (biz- & life-partners Betsy & Cynthia) are fans of girls who make music! A single flat screen tv plays videos of the songs. And much like the lighting, the music is the perfect volume to set the tone without overpowering conversation. The walls display framed original art: photography, paintings and digital art (all for sale) paying tribute to women rock, r&b, folk and pop stars. And we’re not done…

One of the two restrooms pays homage to Betsy’s fave Gwen Stefani. The other is a nod to a gaggle of girl Grammy winners. Don’t be shy about visiting both – they’re awesome.

Oh yeah, the coffee? They start with Intelligentsia Coffee and then add something magic. I’ve had Americanos, filter and latte with almond milk (which is now my standard order). Today I succumbed to the chocolatty chocolate croissant I’ve ever seen . So now I will have to venture further into FGC’s menu of brunch and sandwiches and salads.

Bottom line: the owners and staff put their hearts, souls and considerable sweat into making Fan Girl Cafe a joyful, delicious space. It is always busy but never too crowded to find a spot to sit and sip and enjoy a bit of respite from the world. Next time you want to try something new in the coffee space, walk or drive (there’s free parking!) over and prepare to be WOWed!

Finally, an actually awesome cafe that feels good to hang out in, raises up others in the community, and makes delicious, healthy, well priced food! Love that oat milk is their default option, and pretty much all of their food is or can be made vegan. The owners put so much thought and love into designing this place, and it really shows. I just moved here a year ago and have struggled to find a coffee shop I liked, and Fan Girl Cafe has truly knocked it out of the park and will be my go to place. See y’all again soon ❤️

PS: make sure to check out their instagram @fangirlcafe_ for events – movie nights, book club, happy hours, and more!

An absolute gem in West Hollywood. Fan Girl isn’t just a coffee spot — it’s a vibe. Equal parts pop-culture shrine / queer haven / creative hangout / damn good coffee shop, this place feels like stepping into a love letter to the girlies who raised us — from Britney to Beyoncé to Dolly and so so many more.

Every corner radiates joy and intention. The decor is cheeky and colorful, and the wonderful staff make you feel like you’ve just walked into your best friend’s living room. More than that, Fan Girl does the important work of creating a space that centers and celebrates our LGBTQIA+ community.

Support this amazing local business!

I came here for my first time for a bookxlub. They were reviewing Britney Spears’ book. It was during special hours. They had cheese tostadas on the menu and guacamole and chips. For drinks, they had wines, rosé, and some other things as well on the menu. I love how the place is decorated. It’s such a great vibe and energy in this place. There are different conversational sections for a more community oriented vibe in the café. The owners are amazing women, and their mom is so sweet and a great cook. I’m glad I was able to come by and visit while I was out in LA. There is a parking lot.

My favorite coffee shop in all of Los Angeles. Not only is it a cute, aesthetic place to get work done but the FOOD and the DRINKS are delicious. My favorites are the Fade Into You and the Breakfast Wrap with Avocado!

The owners have poured so much love and attention to detail into their business, and it is
such a wonderful spot for community.

A new gem in WeHo! The Letty’s Taco was so yummy and the matcha latte was perfect. The vibes are immaculate. Highly recommend if you want to hang out with a beverage, or have some food and do some work, in a queer friendly space.
