The best service and attention in the state of New Jersey. Phoenix bakery is number one With star quality food, making me feel like home. They are super fast and they have great communication with their customers. I recommend for everyone to try the bakery. They’re good are seriously amazing. The sandwiches are on unstoppable. They treated me. Like if they were doing me a favor. If you order to eat in, they bring the food to the table only to their friends or acquaintances. To me. They yelled at me to stand up and go pick. Up my food. The tables and floor were dirty. Music loud (personal taste)

Sandwiches are great, croquetas delicious, deserts excellent. Service was very good. The place is very clean as well.
It has been a year since I wrote the above review. What I wrote about still stands and the women work under intense pressure to serve everyone a smile. Their only true weakness is on holidays they are so busy that there should be at least four people behind the counter. Between the online orders and the walk in business they get overwhelmed. But if you have patience and relax they catch up. I hope the management can get them more help at least at the busy times of the days for the major holidays.
All the women there are hard working and kind. I truly enjoy going to Fenix 3 on a regular basis.

El Fenix is a welcome addition to Bergenline. First thought when I walked in was how clean the shop was. It had an assortment of cuban desserts perfectly aligned. I got a bunch of stuff and enjoyed all of them. They also have sandwiches but didn’t get them this time. Will be back.

Was so happy to find this bakery. I found the service to be good and the pastries to be amazing! The croquettes and guava pastry are easily the best I’ve had. The Cuban bread was amazing as well and wish I bought more than 2 but I’m only one person. If I didn’t live so far away I would be back more often but I will be back as much as I can. Too bad this wasn’t here when I lived across the park 20 yrs ago. Thank you for some wonderful treats and making my day!!
Update Oct 2024: Much busier now than it was during my first visits but you can clearly see how hard to the women behind the counter were working. Norma helped me and she was fantastic even though it was so busy. Food was just as great as I remembered and I continue to recommend.

I go there often and I have to admit the food quality is great! Being of Cuban descent myself I particularly enjoy and like the food taste there.
…..and not forgetting a key element…..the service, the attention and the treatment by the staff is very pleasant and happy!
I recommend it to anyone looking to snack or eat in a great clean place with excellent food and excellent service.

The small Cuban place right in front of the park makes it even better with delicious pastries coffee and and variety of cold drinks, friendly staff willing always to help in a very clean and quiet atmosphere …. even the chairs outside makes u feel like u want more croquetas, enjoy the day !!

The worst customer services ever. I came to buy a cake for someone birthday.
From the GET GO the girl that works there tell me I CAN’T write anything on it without me asking her .When she start putting the cake in the box I asked HER can I SEE how it looks with tiny little sign HAPPY BIRTHDAY before u close the box and she was ignoring me like my MONEY don’t have any value finally she let me see it.
I told her can I GET THE BIGGER HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIGN I will pay extra if I need 2 and her answer was NO . The other girl asked her what happen ? Because she noticed something wasn’t right but I couldn’t hear what she said but I LEFT the cake right there at the counter. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN. Attitude like this a lot business go out of business . CUSTOMER SERVICES IS KEY for any business .
