New owner and name, now Ogden Valley Smokehouse. Closed Sunday-Tuesday. Google info is wrong. Still excellent BBQ (maybe World class) in a beautiful small alpine lake town. Brisket, Ribs, Pulled Pork are all very good. Sides are good too. They do run out of things. Plenty of parking. A few veg options. Outdoor seating in warm months. A large grassy town park out front is great for the kids. Shaved ice and milkshakes just next door. Restrooms, wheelchair accessible. No alcohol. Famous saloon around corner with good burgers, no kids allowed in the saloon. Credit cards including Amex OK.
Accessible parking.

Great location with nice decor. I love that they have old chair lifts as benches. I had the sliced brisket sandwich and the brisket was a little tough. It was also expensive and didn’t come with any sides. Probably won’t go back with the better options available in Ogden.

Ugggg! I was hoping we would have good BBQ again after a long dry spell but was disappointed once again at a hefty price tag. We ordered to go, I had the tacos and the Hubby had a two meat plate. My meat was so fatty I couldn’t stomach it. Ended up stealing his brisket for my soft shell. Taco was lacking texture and taste, soft shell, meat and a scant of sauce is all it includes. Desperatly needs more for the 10 bucks a plate your asking. So sad, wont come back until you improve. Much luck! Hubby said your service was good.

Great BBQ, friendly service with deep knowledge of the area. The Gold Rush and Spicy sauces were delicious. Will be back soon!

Stopped in this place the night before a marathon. The food was very good. I had Brisket and turkey. The turkey was extremely moist. The brisket was just barely a little dry. The sauces we’re tasty. Each one was good. Didn’t love the loaded mashed potatoes, they were ok, but the steak fries were very good.
This is definitely a place I would eat at again when I’m in the area.

We have loved driving up to Huntsville BBQ but were extremely disappointed with our dinner tonight. Very overpriced — paid $30 for two sandwiches and fries, very little meat and stale buns. However, the fries and fry sauce were very good! I understand that it is now under new ownership — maybe this is the issue. Bummed we’ve lost our BBQ spot and will not be going again. Maybe we’ll try the saloon around the corner.

This food was delicious! Got the turkey sandwich and the brisket sandwich along with three sides (cowboy beans, loaded mash, and jenny’s coleslaw) to share with my dad. Our taste buds were out of this world. Definitely one of the best BBQ restaurants I’ve eaten at, and I’ve eaten at a lot.

Let me set the stage! Our party of eleven people showed up at 7:oo pm on July 5. they had already served over 5,000 the day before and almost that many on the day we were there and we didn’t have reservations. All the staff was busy but very kind. there was one waitress that went above and beyond all expectations.Anna is her name, she rounded up tables and chairs as well as making sure we exactly what we ordered. I have truly never seen a waitress work so hard to get us all together and served. The food and atmosphere was exceptional!
Don’t miss this fabulous food at a good and fair cost. The park atmosphere in the back shouldn’t be missed. Take the kids and there is plenty of room for them to run. If you’re lucky you will catch a night with live entertainment and a fabulous waitress named Anna.

Ever since I moved from Texas 5 years ago, I’ve been searching for some decent barbeque. Well the search is over. The brisket was smokey and moist, and the turkey was great. I liked the sauce bar area, lots of choices. They even had a awesome local brand of bottled sodas. The root beer was my favorite.
The atmosphere had me feeling like I was back in Texas. Also just outside was a quaint little old timely park area. My family enjoyed walking around and looking at the old buildings.
Service was fast, and the staff was friendly. Even though I live about an hour away, I will be back for sure when ever I am hungry for real Texas barbeque.

Love the BBQ! The brisket, the chicken, the pork ribs. Very slow as each item is carved unless you order something chopped. Best times is after the lunch or dinner rush. Ask for the brisket ends if they have any left! This location is much nicer than the local franchise in downtown ogden!
