Reviews
While making my sandwich she was apparently talking on the phone and repeatedly touching the earpiece. It was difficult to understand her but even more so not knowing if she was talking to me or whoever she was amusing on the phone.
She was wearing gloves and continued so while operating the cash register.
While eating I noticed the same person preparing what I assume was a call in order. Again, continuing touching her earpiece, with gloves, as well as reaching under her top to pull her pants and continued to prepare someone’s meal.
I also observed a young man working there as well. He was working in a very sanitary manner, changing gloves as he completed different tasks.
I wish he had made my meal
The first time the inside of the restaurant was dirty, they were very stingy with toppings (one of our sandwich’s had spinach and they put 3 spinach leaves on the 6” sub), and the sandwich’s don’t seem to have consistency (both sandwiches had mustard, one had so much it was difficult to eat, the other had hardly any). They also don’t accept Subway coupons.
Unfortunately I don’t think we will be returning to this location. Recommend the one in Springfield instead.
Today was when we decided not to ever return. First off, I, like many people, use the coupons we get in the mail for 2 footlongs for like $13. When we ordered those 2 footlongs the owner lady denied our coupon bc it “didn’t include the garlic roast beef” even though my fiancé just got a regular sub with roast beef in it. What made us question this even more is that we have always used that coupon at many different locations and gotten the same thing and have never had a store turn us down. Anyway, I tried to explain that to the lady but she refused and wanted us to pay full price, to which I just walked out. I hope it was worth them losing 2 footlongs and also a loyal customer in the process. Will not be back.
We ended up going to the one in Millersville and was shocked by how much more food they put on our footlongs, how they organized the veggies nicely on them, and how they took our coupon without question. Save yourself the headache and bs of small portions and just travel a little further to a better Subway
The owners are rarely personable or courteous. They act like you are a burden to them instead of a paying customer (and fellow human) who is helping increase their business’ bottom line! The treatment only gets worse if you walk in anywhere near closing time. They treat their young employees just as poorly, constantly browbeating them or micromanaging their every move. The store would probably run great if they actually gave their employees good training and let them do their job! Also, they penny-pinch everything from skimpy toppings on your sandwich to not allowing Subway coupons. And to top it off, today all the chips were stale (probably selling old stock instead of replacing with new).
I really don’t like to give a business poor reviews, but we’ve experience these issues and more too many times. I’d love to see them improve these things, but have seen no effort in that direction at all. I hope they see this review and improve in the future, but if they continue to treat their customers and employees poorly, I hope they fail and fail miserably.
Update: ended up taking 34 min for 1 sandwich and kid says it’s because there were 50 people in there. Yeah… I’m sure. Lying doesn’t make the wait better.
