Simply put: This is THE BEST breakfast I have had in my 20 trips around the sun. No comparison, nothing beats it. THE BEST.

Sit down, grab one of their signature lattes (hot or iced!) and relax awhile… I’ve been inspired to make possibly the longest, most detailed review in my history of reviewing things. (I did have to slim it down to just the points about the food… apparently there is a 4,000 character limit and I was at 5,500 originally. Oops!)

We ordered a variety of food that we believed would encompass the range of options they had in under $30. The feast is as follows…

•Butter Barrel Gourmet Soda: a refreshing root beer poured over pieces of crunchy ice, with butterscotch and vanilla syrup, topped with cream. A sweet but not-too-sweet soda with a unique, indulgent flavor. A great way to kick off your morning without going straight for a regular soda! Just carbonated enough to help you wake up, without the in-your-face carbonation that will go up your nose and send you into a sneezing fit. (I have had too many sneezing fits induced by McDonald’s soda, and really any standard soda, so this unique twist on a classic soda was quite refreshing!)

•Smidge of Fall Latte: a classic, fresh-brewed hot coffee with raspberry, vanilla, and caramel flavors, topped with cold foam. That unbeatable fresh coffee taste accented with a suble fruity sweetness! A wonderful way to warm up on a chilly Sunday morning… the type of warmth that hits your taste buds and radiates through your body, defrosting your muscles and joints and providing you with the energy you need to start the day strong.

•Loaded Homefries: perfectly cooked potato pieces topped with melty cheese and perfectly crisped bacon pieces. Fresh, warm, and packed with flavor! Just hearty enough to fill you up quick without a heavy, greasy feeling. (I’ll admit I’m usually not a homefry fan- but these are different! I loved these and finished the entire plate, which is highly unusual for me. If someone who usually doesn’t like potato things that taste like potato can enjoy them and finish the whole plate, you’ve definitely done something right!)

•Grilled Soft Pretzel: a giant soft pretzel topped with salt. Warm, pull-aparty and packed with a bready and slightly buttery flavor! Light and airy while still being filling and indulgent. (This is another item that I’m usually not a fan of- but this was different too! We shared it but I totally would have eaten an entire one myself. You know how some “soft pretzels” are actually kinda crunchy and not completely soft? Not here. This is A SOFT PRETZEL. The softest I’ve had. And I am IN LOVE.)

•Pickle & Bacon Cream Cheese Bagel: a yummy bagel, warm but still soft, topped with savory cream cheese, pickle pieces, and bacon pieces. You can’t pass this up- it’s so filling and packed with a flavor palette that’s sure to make you go “WOW”! They don’t skimp on the toppings at all (*cough cough* Starbucks *coughing fit* Dunkin *wheeze*) and again, like everything else here, you can taste the freshness, care, and love put into its’ creation!

•Ham & Cheese Sourdough Breakfast Sandwich: warm ham and melty cheese sandwiched between two slightly toasted slices of sourdough bread. A hearty classic breakfast sandwich (I skipped the egg on this one) sure to set you up for a successful and energized day! Once again, unbeatably fresh and crafted with care. If you love a classic breakfast sandwich and want the best one you’ll ever have in your life, try this! The light layer of signature blackberry spread adds a nice aftertaste as well. (Genuinely the best breakfast sandwich I’ve had, ever!)

So, are you convinced enough to try the best food you’ve ever stumbled upon? I wouldn’t see why not! Stop by, say hi, and treat yourself to a simply unmatched experience at LeeBell’s Mercantile! Thank you for the best breakfast in my personal history of breakfasts. AMAZING!!

This place was such a good find. The baked oatmeal was delicious and came with lots of fresh fruit. Turkey pesto sandwich was also super solid, especially the bread. Latte was nice too, and they have that good ice!

Price for all of the above, plus two scrambled eggs and a giant cookie, was like $29, which I found shockingly affordable. Parking was easy too. Definitely gonna be our go to spot anytime we’re in the area

The cup of coffee was OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD. May stop in one last time tomorrow just for the cup of Joe. The egg scramble was also outstanding and they got some fun stuff to buy as well

As a foodie, breakfast was really good! The sunrise hash with sweet potatoes, sausage, onion, and green peppers was delicious. I always ask for 2 extra eggs with a side of sour dough toast. Also, the latte with cold foam is better than Starbucks.

I stopped into the hardware store next door and the store led me into this cafe. The breakfast sandwich was great but the woman who I presume is the manager, was not very welcoming to a new face. This felt like a place where locals and long term friends would frequent but was extremely off putting and uncomfortable for my first time there. I will go again when I stop by and hope my experience is better as the menu was extensive and I would love to try more items and support a neighborhood business. in a town like this an unwelcoming personality is off putting. Best wishes on your Business

My favorite local cafe! Great food, drinks and service. Also offers canned goodies, trinkets and a direct entrance into the main store. Food is made to order and fresh. 10/10!

Best breakfast and coffee in the area. I come here often, There are usually 2 women there, one woman is more soft spoken and SO sweet but the other woman is rude. Like absolutely blatantly rude, I don’t understand how she speaks to people without realizing how condescending she sounds. I hear her talk to other customers and employees so I know it’s not only towards me. She Ruins the vibe of the whole wonderful place, and I’m not sure how the other wonderful woman deals working with her daily. Other than her the place is 10/10!!! Best lattes!!

This is a guaranteed stop when we are in town. Never have we had anything bad and the service is over the top. Love this place….

Try the Ohio Infantry Chai late (Pistachio- Brown Butter – Carmel) dirty is the best. Also the Pickle lemonade is amazing.

I’m a Philly based tour guide, avid traveler, and voracious history buff. I find myself in town anywhere from six to twelve times a year now giving private tours of the battlefield and area. Just discovered this little gem, a few blocks off of the main roads in town, in early October while giving my last tour of 2025. Seems to be a popular spot and the coffee, which I take pretty plain – coffee and flavored creamer, was hot, fresh brewed, and the breakfast sandwich I picked up was priced right, pretty tasty, and the service was friendly without being fake. Did not have time to really check everything out – including memorizing the menu, but seems like a legit local place that I will check out next year.

This is a gem. Everyone was so friendly and the iced coffee the chicken bowl the BLT the fruit smoothies. Everything is so good and fresh and it’s so wonderful to have you folks here in the neighborhood… Thank you for being here and for everything. And as a geographer, I appreciated the historical
map on the wall.
