Great place to dine and possibly watch sports while viewing the course at Tidewater. Wide selection of sandwiches, entrees and cocktails. We have dined there twice in the past month and highly recomend it. The service is also excellent; friendly smiles.

Terrible. The most horrible service, I don’t think I’ve never been more embarrassed to be somewhere ever. You show up at 4:00 and the hostess with more torn on what she’s wearing than her job. She’s extremely rude and is quick to tell you it’s “booked and busy every. single. seat.” for entertainment staring at 7 then there is open seating(which happens to be completely open by the way). I’m not sure that this place is used to people under 70 coming in who have real relevant jobs, but this chick is quick to remind you that you don’t get a real menu and you need to leave before 6 (again, it’s 4:00pm). If you want anything In NMB go literally to Arby’s before you come here. Food is mid grade at best and the service is subpar. The hostess is the first person you see when you walk in and unfortunately there was no warm welcome with people who have money in their pocket trying to get an early birthday party of 3. There’s no excuse for the disgusting behavior that included gaudy bad attitude, paper menus because she took the real menus from us our server who gave the real menus to us because she was “running out” of regular menus. Please let me remind you the fact that NO ONE IS IN HERE. One of us wanted to stay because we were already here, our families have homes in this neighborhood and this is just embarrassing behavior. Please stay away from here especially if you’re a golfer who is paying $200 just to play 9. Good grief get a grip and stay away from here if you have 2 brain cells.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. Beautiful setting overlooking the marsh and golf course. The food is amazing and the prices are affordable. We leave with bulk containers of pimento cheese, BBQ or chicken salad so we can enjoy Joey’s at home.

We come here all the time. Love that they can accommodate large groups and service is always excellent. Three of us ordered the special of steak tips last night. What we got was ground up steak. Almost looked like hamburger. Definitely not steak tips. Maybe they need to change menu description. We had a large party. If it had been two of us would have sent it back. Everything else we ordered was great.

I had a reservation to sit at the bar one Saturday night. I have been coming to Joeys for a long time and had no issues until this time. I went to sit at my reserved bar seat and there were 3 members (because I asked) and they were spread over at least four seat and I asked for a little more room. They looked at me as if I was an intruder and didn’t move an inch. Lucky the hostess was kind and moved me to another seat at the bar and told me that one of the guys (and won’t say gentleman) is like that and rude. Now I’m surprized that Joeys won’t say anything to him. Tidewater members represent Joeys and should be courteous to outside people trying to come in and have a delightful meal either at the bar or table. I will continue to come to Joeys because the staff is so friendly and the meals are outstanding. But if I run into this situation again, I just might speak up and they won’t like that.
