Been here twice now, once for dine-in and once for takeout. Always order the same thing: Vegan Chikk’n Tikka Masala. In my personal opinion, it’s the best Indian restaurant in Portland for vegan and vegetarian options.

Maruti is the best Indian Food Restaurant in Portland! The care and love Falguni and Rudra have poured into this restaurant is palpable from the moment you walk through the doors to their beautiful establishment. And their food is incredible! For celiacs, say hello to naan bread again, as they have a gf option!!!

I love that there are vegan options for really delicious Indian food. They have vegan versions for just about everything which is really hard to find. The spice level, I would say, is mild even for the most known to be spicy dishes. The interior space is absolutely stunning. Staff is super kind and efficient. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

I ordered delivery directly from the website for lunch! Their site is easy to use and I got loyalty points. The Chicken Kati roll was so flavorful and filling, and bigger than I expected. Will definitely be back!

I always love coming to Maruti for Indian food. The ambiance is cute and it’s cozy inside. Their chai, curries, naan are all high quality and delicious. We tried their new app Pani Puri. I loved Pani Puri growing up in India. I have to say their Pani Puri was not authentic. It usually has black chana or mung beans, sev and two sauces (tamarind and mint chilli chutneys). I still liked it because it’s pani puri and always fun to eat them.

I had the best time, coming from Singapore, I didn’t even know that I missed Indian food so much until I tasted the mushroom karahi here. The owner, Falguri, is so warm and welcoming and has done a beautiful job with the place. An absolute must visit! Food for the belly, heart and soul.

Ordered three entrees, samosas and naan. Everything was delicious and full of flavor, but the paneer was a little firm. Healthy portions on the entrees, especially the biryani. Samosas were crispy outside, pillowy inside, and full of peas and potatoes. Naan was savory, fluffy and had just the right tooth. Served was kind even though I showed up close to closing time. The place was small, but had good, cozy character.

We were looking for a place that my vegan cousin, his gluten-free gf, and my 80-year old Grampie could all eat at, and we stumbled upon a treasure. Make a reservation, because we got lucky but there were people waiting for tables after we got sat. The owner was our server and she was was hospitable in a way you don’t see much anymore- we felt truly cared for. And the food was incredible! Everyone was happy with what they ordered and ate their fill and had leftovers. I’ll absolutely be back, and you should go before it’s impossible to get into!
