She was singularly the most happy, outgoing, and joyful server I’ve ever had in a restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant. I dined in it twice during my stay at the JW Marriott while I was here in town for a medical meeting. Great view. Wonderful atmosphere.

WORSE DINING EXPERIENCE EVERRR. Me and my mother came out to celebrate my cousin‘s birthday last night. It was a Surprise Birthday Dinner, all the guest had to arrive before her. Me and my mom and a few other guest were already there prior to the birthday girl showing up(waited for about an hour). None of the staff checked on us or offered us anything while waiting for the rest of the party to arrive, to be seated. Not even bread was offered while waiting prior to being seated. Once we were eventually seated and the birthday girl arrived, most of the guest (including us) were already very hungry and ready to place orders. We were all very extremely excited to see how this dining experience would be. Fast-forward, we have all ordered and now our food is coming to the table. A lot of guest at the table were complaining about their food however, I was the first person to send my food back out of everyone. Me and mother ordered Lamb Chops, Sea Bass, lobster Mac n Cheese and an order of Asparagus. The Lamb Chops were mine and it was ice cold, not a single warm or heat to it. I had only taken one bite and had it sent back. The servers (ladies) asked me kindly, if I wanted anything else and I told them no thank you. My mother was sitting there eating her food (SeaBass) attempting not to complain due to her being very hungry and having a food cut off time. And as she was getting in the middle of eating her Seabass, she had said something in there had tasted rotten and unfresh. This led her have to go to the bathroom 2-3 times, throwing up and do #2 2-3 times. When we told the manager about this, I got vibes that the manager was a little racist due to our party being majority Black. I guess she was trying to ensure that nobody was trying to get stuff for free due to past experiences. But that still that is no excuse. Me and my mother, we take care of staff everywhere we go if we have recieved good customer service, even if there is an automatic gratuity, we sometimes will tip extra if the service was excellent. We Pride ourselves in being really good tippers despite most both in our race and culture messing it up for us(Black/African American). This Manager ruined it for the servers due to her charging us for a meal that I did not even eat (Lamb Chops). Instead only gave us 50% off. The only thing that should have been given 50% off was the Sea-bass (My mom did eat most, so yea) , Asparagus (ate some) and Lobster Mac n Cheese (ate some). The Lamb Chops should have never been charged. I feel like this restaurant did not care about delivering a good customer service. They were just all about the “money” and making sure that they got a “profit” at the end of the day. I get it that most individuals that look like myself (Black African American) have messed it up in taking advantage of staff and trying to get stuff for free. For that I sympathize. However, what I do not sympathize is treating all of us like we are all the same. Due to this horrible experience and us being overcharged over an item that was not ate and hardly touched. I couldn’t even leave another tip for the beautiful ladies that served us(because we know that they did not make the food). If she would’ve taken those lamb chops off that I did not touch, We would have left a additional tip for the ladies but because the manager of the restaurant wanted to be money hungry and trying to finesse due to us being in majority party of Black people, I could not even leave an additional tip. In addition, My mom works in a medical field and he has to be up at five in the morning and so her last meal/supper needed to be right, due to it being wrong. She had to go to bed very very hungry and I had to go to Taco Bell.
UPDATE:She woke up this morning and still was hungry.
Below is the picture of the Lamb Chops I received. I only have one knife in incision on it, and it’s in the very very front. This is how the food looked when I sent it back and yet I was still charged for it.

Had a great night with coworkers for dinner. Karynna took such great care of us. She had amazing recommendations and was super friendly and wearing the biggest most genuine smile! Would happily go back to JW and hopefully we would be seated in Karynna’s section again.

An absolute beautiful restaurant with a gorgeous view.
If you’re staying at JW Marriott, I recommend you do brunch here. We absolutely loved it. Especially if you have kiddos, the attention to detail for kids is everything. The child menu kept our daughter entertained the entire time, that never happens.
Before I go into detail, I want to personally thank whomever that came up with complimentary biscuits we inhaled them, and our server nicely gave us more. They really need to think about turning these biscuits into a SANDWICH because whew.
To start, my man ordered the GREEN IMMUNITY, which he loved. It came in a full glass, he was surprised at how much they gave him. I ordered a MIMOSA because I’m basic, it got the job done.
I have no idea why I kept it healthy but I did, I ordered the RICOTTA & BASIL SCRAMBLE, this was just okay to me. It was good, but nothing to scream about.
My man ordered the CHICKEN & WAFFLES – he was very happy. The waffle was a jalapeño cheddar waffle, he just kept talking about it. I was a bit jealous.
My daughter had the BACON and FRUIT (she’s allergic to seeds, egg, and food), she was very happy with the bacon. It was actually amazing and I ordered a side of it.
Overall – I’d easily come back here. The beauty of the restaurant, coupled with the amazing service and tasty food – easily coming back to try the burger, and dinner!

I took my girlfriend here for our 1 year anniversary in December for dinner and we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Service was attentive and good and the food was great. We had one of the best views at our table, which was right next to the window with a fantastic view of downtown Dallas. Some seats were more towards the interior of the restaurant and wouldn’t have provided the ambiance and vibe a window seat would, so make sure that you bring this up if you make a reservation. I would recommend ordering the “Cut Grass” drink and the “Beef Belly” appetizer for sure, also the Filet with peppercorn sauce was delicious and had a really nice sear on it. The potato side dish that came with it was bit strange and unappealing to eat, but it looked really neat and the presentation was superb. We would definitely come back here for the views and the vibes.
