The restaurant has a calm, pleasant, and modern atmosphere that gives you a very good feeling.
The service is great, and the manager is very polite and attentive.
The quality of the sushi was excellent—fresh, healthy ingredients and the taste of a true professional chef’s work.
My wife and I went there to celebrate my birthday, and they surprised us with a complimentary dessert, which was a lovely gesture.
Overall, it’s a wonderful place with high-quality food and a relaxing vibe. I definitely recommend it!

We had a quiet, laid-back lunch reservation before my long flight — especially heading all the way back to South Korea — hits differently. There’s something about sharing cocktails, good rolls, and just being present that feels grounding before distance separates me again from my folks.

Allot of good, a little bad. Started off bad by sitting 20 minutes before waiter came over when place was very slow. But turned good when appetizers came out and were both very good, the umami dumplings and calamari were great, the sauce for both was outstanding though the dip for calamari was almost too spicy. The chicken fried rice was very meh, really needs to be allot better especially for like 20 bucks. The sushi rolls both were good, the black and gold was a hot mess with potato salad on the side when it comes to eating it, but tasted great. The jazz roll was very simple, clean and tasty. The French fries were cooked almost perfect, they were a little under though and the seasoning was way too much and it was so spicy but tasted good. Overall happy with this place but for the price I think they can bump up the taste all around and definitely improve the service. Also I’m pretty sure they charged me wrong price for one of the rolls since its supposed to be happy hour, which I over heard from someone else , our waiter nefer mentioned it at all but apparently til 6 they have specials on rolls and drinks? All things considered I would rate a 3.5 but went 4 to give benefit of the doubt.

My partner and I enjoyed our evening date at Tsunami on Highland for the first time. We called for a reservation. We got the ika fries (pictured below), the Big Easy roll, Black and Gold roll, and fried rice with chicken. We agreed that our favorite part was how smoky the fried rice tasted, but we would like to try it with the shrimp next time. Rolls were pretty good. The workers were very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was pleasant and well designed.

Prettiest sushi I’ve ever had! We have visited Tsunami downtown several times, so we decided to try this new one on Highland. We were not disappointed! The drinks were fantastic, our server was attentive and kept up with us, and the food was delicious. I also have to mention the beautiful architecture, the ambiance was unmatched. Highly recommend the Gyoza, Black and Gold roll, and Tiny Dragon martini!

Everything was delicious. Honestly everything was at least a 8 or 9 out of 10, with the exception of one roll but we failed to see that it was a fried roll, which my husband and I just aren’t huge fans of a roll that is entirely baked or cooked in someway. But that was an oversight on our part. Our service was good. Our waitress had good knowledge about the menus and drinks and the restaurant is beautiful. Doesn’t feel like your in the middle of BR.

As a fan of the downtown location that overlooks the river, this location exceeded all expectations! I was thrilled to experience the same level of excellence at their new spot. The cocktails were well crafted, and the sushi was nothing short of perfection (ordered the Green Monster roll, Rock n’ Roll, and the Black & Gold roll). The atmosphere was good, the ceiling was especially cool with the hanging pipes and the service was top-notch. I highly recommend Tsunami to anyone looking for an unforgettable sushi dining experience. Can’t wait to go back for more!”

Tsunami is a great local sushi restaurant. I loved going to the one town BR and super happy this one opened up closer to me. Both restaurants are are unique in their own way. This one is more family oriented and better place for a quiet date.

We’re normally patrons of the shaw center location but we wanted to try out the new location. Firstly all the food and drinks were fantastic! Our server Noah was not only super attentive and an excellent server, but made fantastic suggestions for both food and drinks all evening. After our hostess who sat us was rude & purposely messed up our reservation he made sure to write down all of our allergy information & give suggestions around it. We enjoyed everything we tried and the food was delicious!! Everything about the reasturant itself& bar were A++

The only thing that was a major downer for us was the hostess herself & reservation system. We made a reservation through online (as is suggested/linked on thier page) INCLUDING ALL OUR FOOD ALLERGIES. The dinner was for my birthday / our anniversary so we wanted one of the quieter seating areas. We confirmed our reservation a total of 4 times!!! Twice through online and 2 phone calls. Only to get get there and check in and the blonde hostesses tries to seat us in a completely different spot than our reservation. We asked about the seating in the more private rooms. She told us those are reservation only and we wouldn’t be able to sit there. We remind her we did in fact have a reservation for one of those rooms (which she checked us in under). She said let me see what I can do and walked back to the hostess stand leaving us in the middle of the main dining room kinda just standing there. Finally we get taken to our actual reserved seats where she proceeds to try an give us a lecture on how we didn’t * ACTUALLY* make a reservation using the online system, and that they can’t ever guarantee seating from it. That if we want an actual confirmed reservation we have to call. We preceed to tell her not only did we call, but the location had called to confirm our reservation over the phone that morning at around 11am. She then looks us dead in the face and goes ” oh I’m not sure why we did that we were trying to not seat people because of a large party”. So not only did she continuously basically argue with us about our reservation, lecture us about the right way to do it, she ended up admitting to our face they had just been trying to move reservations around to accommodate a last minute booking for a larger party. It was honestly just super rude and poor customer service how the hostess herself started our evening on the completely wrong foot.
