There are two restaurants in one here. I tried One Zo Boba’s Ube/Coffee w/Boba and I appreciate the strong coffee with ube flavor. And the boba was nice, soft, and chewy. For $7, be ready to raise an eyebrow if you’re used to ExtraMile coffee prices but know that you’re getting quality ingredients. I tasted it.
I dropped a star because I feel like the establishment could have staffed better for order speediness, and the lack of customer interaction is definitely a ‘thing’ for me.
I chose the mango green tea, and I was surprised that they used real fresh mangoes instead of mango syrup. I could see chunks and strands of mango in the cup
I randomly stopped by at this establishment before heading to run some errands. The vibes were chill, the service was sweet, and the wait time was little to nothing. Even then, I wouldn’t have minded if I would have had to wait because the atmosphere is pristine! Next off, the drink is the best tasting milk tea I’ve ever had! It was the One Zo Milk Tea with regular ice, regular sweet 100%, & brown sugar boba. The standard has been raised and of course this would happen in the wonderful city of Long Beach!
You have to try the tasty boba drinks. We had the Thai Milk Tea and Brûlée Oreo Brown Sugar Slush. The slush drink was my favorite!
The place is decorated super cute!
The restaurant is very hip and very inviting. It offers plenty of seating inside. Parking is pretty easy as well. One Zo offers many different teas in different forms (I.e., iced, blended, slush, etc.). What makes One Zo extra special is the fact they make their own boba in-store. Unlike other boba spots that usually serve pre-packaged tapioca honey black boba, One Zone does not. They offer fresh taro boba, strawberry boba, and brown sugar boba, just to name a few. I, of course, went with my usual drink, Thai Iced Tea. When deciding on the boba, it was recommended to get the brown sugar boba. So I went with that. It didn’t take very long for my drink, and I dug right in. But I made a huge mistake! I didn’t give it a good shake! Ugh!! So because of that, all I was sipping was brown sugar syrup. But even if I mixed it, I didn’t really like the combination of the brown sugar boba and the Thai Tea. However, the Thai tea was good, and the brown sugar boba was good. Both are good by themselves, just not together.
I will most definitely come back to try some of their other drinks and their unique selection of boba!
The corn dogs are the Korean variety, and they are very nicely fried. Crunchy on the outside, and inside is soft gooey with cheese filling should you go for that. I would definitely go back for the corn dogs.
Boba was ok, but not the best, especially for someone who like the flavor of tea, the drinks are a bit too sweet and milky. I had the brown sugar boba milk tea at 25% sweetness, and I was missing the tea. However, the boba has good texture.
