We saw that this restaurant has the highest rating on Google reviews in this city, so we didn’t hesitate and decided to come here. We arrived exactly at opening time, at 11:00. The restaurant was open and seemed to be expecting us.
However, the service staff and waitresses were very slow, unfriendly, and untidy. They managed to take our order correctly only on the fourth attempt, and even then they brought us something different from what we had ordered. I believe such waitresses should not be working in establishments like this.

I noticed that one chef was basically working for everyone — that is truly the person who deserves tips and praise. I would also like to thank the person responsible for sourcing the fresh fish. The sushi was absolutely excellent, without any doubt.

Despite the fact that we had just arrived, the floors were very dirty. Both in the dining area and in the restroom, there were visible streaks from a dirty mop. It was so obvious that it was clear the person cleaning the floor wasn’t even rinsing the mop, just spreading the dirt around.

If the staff were to change, we would happily come here again.

Victoria was awesome! Everyone working here is super friendly and created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere– including the chefs! We are driving across the country and decided to stop by here for some much needed food. Definitely coming back if we are in the area. I had the Bazooka roll and it was so tasty. We also ordered the Kissing roll and Super Star roll. Portions were great, we left very full between the two of us.

Today we visited a new place that recently changed ownership. It used to be called Cowboy Sushi, but now it’s Sobee Sushi.

The restaurant made a great first impression — clean, nicely set up, and a good size. As soon as we sat down, they served us a complimentary soup. I’m not sure what kind it was, but it was absolutely delicious. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

We ordered edamame, a Mexican roll, and an Amarillo roll. Since the rolls are handmade, we expected to wait a bit, but the timing was very reasonable. While waiting, we mixed some soy sauce with lime and wasabi for dipping.

The edamame was lightly seasoned with salt — simple but good.

The Mexican roll had just the right amount of spice: flavorful without being overwhelming.

The Amarillo roll was the perfect contrast — slightly sweet, fresh, and well balanced.

Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will definitely be coming back to try more rolls and explore the menu further.

The reason why I’m giving this place one star is because of my personal experience there with my family.

When we walked in they just simply asked us to seat anywhere. We always seats at booths so our son could have the freedom to just stand and look around. Anyways, we weren’t asked if this was our first time eating there nothing. Our server was rushing through our meals and was making mistakes left and right. We had ordered a large pho bowl with no cilantro and they brought us a bowl with cilantro in it, when we told them there’s cilantro in it they took it back and pulled the cilantro off and brought us the same soup.

It’s like uh excuse me but this is the same soup you had brought us because we could tell from the way the meat were when they had first brought it up to us. Then they recorrected themselves by bringing us a new bowl with no cilantro in it. My cousin asked for red chili oil three times and the lady kept saying the red sauce was red chili oil which it wasn’t.

The wait time for food was looonnnggg.

All in all my experience was terrible. In truth that’s okay because life isn’t about perfect experiences rather we are who we are because we go through some good and bad experiences which makes us who and what we are.

I absolutely love sushi, so I’m very picky about where I eat. My daughter and I decided to try Cowboy Sushi ad I saw they had Tuna Tataki. We got there and it wasn’t busy so we were able to pick a both to sit at. The waitress was on point and asked for our drink order and brought us menus. She came back with miso soup. We decided to order Edamame as an appetizer, Tuna Tataki, a Ninja Roll and a Frankenstein Roll. The edamame was good. When the Tuna Tataki came out it look very appealing. It was seared to perfection and was sitting on a bed of Spring mic with ginger dressing. Ponzu sauce accompanied the plate. The flavor was soooo good!! My daughter and I could not get enough of it. The amount was enough for a whole meal by itself. When the rolls arrived, we couldn’t wait to taste them. The Ninja Roll is made with purple rice, which had a sweet flavor to it. Everything in it was fresh looking and smelled amazing. The Frankenstein roll was fried and you could tell they use fresh oil as the outside of the roll was light and crispy. I was shocked when we got the bill and it was less then we usually spend going out for sushi!! I am very impressed with this place and plan on returning to try new items on their menu. I highly recommend you try this place out, you will not be disappointed!!!

This is my favorite sushi place in Amarillo. I also told them about my allergies and they especially made my sushi rolls to suit my allergies.
The staff is the top rated staff that has worked at the other places in Amarillo. Highly recommend.

Not such a loud place. Wasn’t very busy tonight either. We got the Jungle Roll, if you want to add some heat add some siracha. I requested my Ninja roll to be deep fried. It was delicious. Got the sweet and sour chicken and it was crunchy. The sauce was a on the sweet side though. Got the house fried rice for the little one. Definitely a lot in it but very flavorful and hearty for sure. Jalapeño poppers if your gonna get an appetizer though. They were delicious with a good amount of heat from the Sriracha sauce. All and all. All of them were delicious
