This is a new Indian restaurant in Jena offers a warm, friendly atmosphere with delicious food and unique specialties. We ordered paneer chilli and paneer tikka, both of which were very good. The samosa chole is a twist on the classic and adds a unique touch to the meal. The combination of chapati or naan with rice perfectly complements the curry, making for a satisfying dining experience.

Have given it an extra star for listening to feedback and trying to improve over the weeks. It was the newest Indian restaurant in Jena. The food is sometimes bland and too adjusted for German palates which resulted in it losing it’s identity. They definitely need to improve taste as well as portion sizes. The lamb bhuna and the shahi lamb both seemed watered down and the pieces, although more in number, were chopped too small. Better to tweak and improve while they still have time. Till now they are only taking cash as their card machine still hasn’t arrived yet. Good luck to the new owners for making it big yet.
UPDATE: went a second time and had some more dishes. The dal tadka is spicy and the lamb tikka masala has a hint of tomato-e flavour. The chicken tikka masala was best of the lot. However on both days the lamb pieces seem to be a bit on the chewier and under cooked side. However their dal and chicken were improved. So an improved food rating now. Hopefully this doesn’t become a hit and miss thing.

I have been here with a big group and had a really good experience. I ordered the chicken tikka masala, and it was flavorful and well-cooked. We also had some drinks, and everything was served quickly. The service was smooth, and the staff handled our large group without any issues. Everyone enjoyed their food, and the prices were pretty reasonable. Would definitely consider going back.
