We were excited to go and try some handmade craft cocktails. The Night Vision was watery and had no flavor despite the description sounding complex and flavorful. It was served with crushed ice that tasted like freezer burn. I didn’t finish it. The Boulevardier was too bitter, overly cherry, and had no bourbon taste. The blended whiskey bourbon of the flight tasted like cheap Jack Daniel’s. The bar smelled of bleach and chlorine like a public pool. It was humid too. Very disappointed in the experience and will not return nor recommend

I want this place to succeed! The bar tender was knowledgeable and recommended great drinks for my mom and I on her birthday. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere but really believe this place should be full! Great happy hour specials and they even do fun event nights like murder mysteries and paint + sip.

I love going to Bitter Tom’s in Lake Orion so I was super excited to visit their new tasting room in downtown Rochester! They distill their own spirits and they don’t use anything artificial in their drinks which is such a huge plus! You can truly notice a difference in comparison to other bars where drinks are made very sugary and taste artificial. Each drink here tastes amazing so you truly can’t go wrong. The people behind the bar are knowledgeable, accommodating, and so friendly! The whole space provides such a great atmosphere to enjoy drinks with friends!

Rating a 1 star as we were unable to try it and the very limited staff interaction we had was negative.
Yesterday, we rushed through our meal at O’Connor’s to make it here before the posted closing time of 9:00 PM. We arrived before 8:25 PM, which is still over 30 minutes before close and, in our experience, typically enough time for a quick drink.
Upon walking in, we were told they were closing and were turned away. There is no mention online of a last-call time or last-entry policy, and no explanation was provided at the door.
If you stop serving guests significantly before the posted closing time, that should be clearly stated on your website so customers can plan accordingly. We were extremely frustrated to rush through an expensive dinner to arrive during posted hours, only to be turned away.
Unfortunately, without clear information about when guests are actually served, we likely won’t return.

Had a memorable time at Bitter Tom’s. Sam is an excellent mixologist and we all tried quite a few different drinks. Coconut “Mounds”, The “IT” Girl, Habanero Margarita and Spiced Rum with Sam’s Allspice chaser were all delicious. Sam made all the difference! Will be back for bacon bourbon.

We had a few craft cocktails here. Sam the bartender we had is so knowledgeable and passionate about the drinks he makes. The drinks we had were outstanding and different. I would put Sam’s drinks against Sugarhouse drinks in Detroit! Check this place out if you have not done so yet!
