We stopped in here for breakfast this morning on a lark, and the breakfast was delicious. I had the huevos rancheros and my wife had an omelette. Out of our meals were perfect. The coffee they serve has a hint of cinnamon to it, which was also nice. On the weekends they have pozole and menudo. I got some menudo to go and it literally made my day.

A well deserved Piru 5 star rating.
These are the kind of places that I love to dine at, a mom and pop restaurant that is located in the middle of nowhere, very old school city and dwellings that probably haven’t been touched since you’ve been alive.
That being said, with the extensive menu (see my pictures), they have everything, simple Mexican food and it’s just plainly good, they have all the condiments for you to spice it up however you like but the base flavor of everything they offer is fresh and plentiful.
The menudo and pozole are not to be missed! I also had their chile verde which was excellent and not spicy which I prefer.

Food is absolutely delicious. I am constantly looking for restaurants that have food that tastes like it came out of my mother’s kitchen and this restaurant does just that. The prices are very fair for the portions and quality of the food. This restaurant is very community based and it shows with the level of service they provide.

I was enjoying my breakfast burrito on the road thinking that it could’ve used a little more salt when all of a sudden I take a bite and find two pebbles. Not a great experience which could have been very painful and costly. Fortunately I didn’t take a hard bite and was able avoid dental disaster. They need to do a better job at cleaning their beans to make sure they get all of the debris out.

Best Menudo I’ve ever had. Great flavor and texture. Carnitas are always fresh never dry. Chile verde is off the hook too! Horchata on point definitely one of my favorite Mexican food restaurants
