I think this is the only Oaxacan restaurant I’ve found in the IE, and its good! If you want to try Mexican food from another region, check this place out. The agua de horchata is tasty, the complimentary chips & mole are yummy, and their salsas taste good!
We ordered some “molotes” (potato and Chorizo mixed inside a fried masa) not spicy, definitely a bit on the pricier side, and we shared the canasta oaxacaqueña, which was perfect for 2. It came with the 3 traditional meats, quesillo, nopales, memelas, and chapulines (toasted & seasoned grasshoppers) so yummy! Service was fast and friendly, the restaurant is clean, although I did feel it was a little too warm in there. As others mentioned, it is on the pricier side. We paid $70+ for 2. But since the food and service were good, I will definitely be back to try something else and I recommend you check it out.

First time trying Oaxaca style mexican food. Bill for 2 people was about $78 which included an Agua Fresca Flight, torta mis amores, 1 order or memelas (2 cesina and 2 chicken), side of agua chiles, and a fried banana. We ordered waters and enjoyed the complimentary chips with mole and cheese. It was just the right amount for food us but is on the smaller portion size. Quality of food and authenticity of the food does make the price a little easier to accept. Staff is super friendly and attentive. There was a wall with merchandise for purchase that has some cups, cantaritos, molcajetes, and other things of interest but I didn’t have time to fully browse them or the prices. So definitely be returning in the near future. Would have taken pictures but the food was so tasty we ate it before any.

Sabooorrrr was the first thing I needed when getting off an airplane from Detroit. Comida oaxaqueña is some of the best in the world in my opinion and we loved the tlayuda and memelas we tried. 10/10 so delicious! Might stop here again on our trip but if not it a must whenever I come back to SoCal. Oh and the salsas were so good. Very good service and good vibes.

We were really looking forward to trying Oaxaca de Mi Amor on Arlington Avenue, but unfortunately the experience didn’t live up to expectations.
The portions were extremely small for the price. We spent over $100 for three people and still left hungry, which is disappointing for any full-service restaurant. On top of that, the food we received was dry and lacked the richness and depth of flavor we were expecting.
The concept and atmosphere have potential, but the value just isn’t there right now. For the price point, portions and food quality need to be significantly better.

If you’re looking for an authentic Oaxacan meal, look no further. We order the Mole negro and the molcajete. The molcajete is recommended for two, but in all honesty the portion is so large it feeds three easily. but what brings the whole meal together is the home made tortillas. This place is a must stop next time ur looking for a great Mexican meal.

The food was great, but it was really expensive for what we ordered. We ordered 2 orders of the enchiladas de mole which I was told that came with rice and it only came with 3 enchiladas with chicken each order at $20 a plate. Then a kids quesadilla with asada and cafe de olla. Total was $62.50. The amount of food was underwhelming for the price. Overall yes it was delicious but I’m not sure i would be coming back.
