Im so disappointed because I visit from hernando county quite a bit and enjoy coming in for sushi while my mom shops or whatever. So I told my family how much I liked this place as their regular Chinese place was closed. I ordered a godzilla roll and fried rice the rice was pretty good but my specialty roll contained imitation crab meat instead of salmon and white fish as described, which isn’t a huge deal to me but I paid for salmon, I ordered based on description…the slices were thin, flat and otherwise tasted ok…I ate it. My step dad wanted steak fried rice with veggies just no broccoli (health reasons) and received no veggies at all even though after having to explain the order a couple times it should have contained zucchini and carrots etc. Its the only sushi place in town, I’ll probably try again in the future but hopefully they don’t count on cutting corners and skipping quality because of this. 🙁

I eat and Hibachi Express, Lake Placid almost daily. The food is always fresh and tasty and nicely prepared. Yadira and Juan at the front counter are always friendly and efficient with a good smile and a welcoming spirit. Their lunch special is well priced and comes with a soda. I love the salmon but I’ve had the chicken and steak which is very good also. Give it a try, you can’t go wrong.

I didn’t really expect much when they lured me in with an $11 lunch special that was surprisingly good tasting and a good value. During our visit we noticed the sushi bar and thought we would try that someday. Well today was the day, and it was so good it inspired me to write this review. Lived in West Palm for 20 years and had access to several good sushi places, so I have experience in these matters 🙂

We have eaten here many times and it has been wonderful. Today we went and watched our order be delivered to another table, then the employee realized the error and took the food back and brought it to us. When I asked him if this was the same food he just picked up from another table he said no, we watched him do it. I understand it was a mistake and could be easily corrected but he lied to our face and that was unprofessional.

This had to be the WORST sushi I’ve ever had. The fish tasted spoiled. The Godzilla roll was terrible. The shrimp tempura had NO shrimp. I ordered for one and it was over $17 that I couldn’t even stomach ro eat. I WILL NEVER BE BACK. And yes, I live here, but Publix sushi is 5 star compared to this crap!

Oh my goodness, let me just say, Hibachi Express is absolutely mouthwatering! From the moment you walk in, the tantalizing aromas of sizzling meats and savory sauces fill the air. And once you dig into their hibachi dishes, oh boy, it’s a flavor explosion! The succulent grilled chicken, juicy shrimp, and tender vegetables are perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. And don’t even get me started on their delectable fried rice and noodles. Every bite is a burst of deliciousness that will leave you craving for more. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

Our first time here, sorely disappointing. We only came here because the Hong Kong Chinese restaurant next door, which is AMAZING, was closed on Mondays. Ordered veggie dish with fried tofu that I always get next door that is SO good, but they didn’t offer fried tofu.
All they had for a vegan was noodles and veggies, NO protein, other than dead animal flesh (rice has fried egg in it). The server asked me if I would like to sub noodles for the rice, and that cheered me up a little bit.
The food was nothing special, and I was still hungry when I left. At Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant, next door, I ate as much as I could, and had a full meal left to take home.
I was so excited to bring my friend here (originally the Chinese place next door), but even he ( who never complains) said the best thing about the place was the pretty bathroom sink.
Oh… They charged me $2 extra to sub the few noodles they gave me for the rice.
Sorry, Five thumbs down, NOT a good experience.
