We went for Valentines Day 2026 and were pleasantly surprised to learn it was a 5 course pre-fixed menu. Every option looked amazing, and between my wife and I we were able to pretty much taste everything available. I did opt for the ribeye upgrade, and it was cooked perfectly. Honestly everything was cooked with such great care and attention/turned out perfect. I grew up in MD/DC and traveled all over the west coast, had no clue Erie had any restaurants of this caliber. I thought Oliver’s was top of the top. I’ll have to come back for a normal dinner. Price point may be difficult for some, but you get what you pay for. Drinks/alcohol were reasonable! Our server Thor and the bartenders were all very friendly and accommodating. As a Marylander, I can verify they make a mean crab cake. The lobster risotto? I knew immediately that lobster was fresh. The little saltiness of the sea paired with truffle and creamy risotto – I still dream of this date night lol

My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner. We both thought it was phenomenal! Our server, Thor, was great, he was very knowledgeable and personable. I had the oxtail (not always on the menu) which was phenomenal and fun to eat. They give you gloves because it’s a bit hard to eat with a fork, this made it a fun experience. My husband had the lamb shank, and absolutely loved it. Both meals came with very well done mashed potatoes! We had delicious dessert that they change all the time, I believe weekly. I also loved that they kept the beautiful floor intact that was originally Hector’s. 10/10 Highly recommend Born and Braised!

My husband and I stopped by for dinner last Friday. We didn’t have reservations but wanted to try their food. They had space for us at the bar! The waitress was amazing, super helpful in explaining the menu and friendly overall.

I ordered the Jambalaya and it was AMAZING! Perfectly spicy and delicious. My husband ordered the filet mignon. He’s a huge steak person, and it was fantastic. We really enjoyed its unique flavor in the best way possible. It didn’t taste like any other steak you typically get at a nice restaurant, which was great, because it can get boring.

We shared a pumpkin crème brûlée for dessert, and it was perfect with a balanced hint of pumpkin, creaminess, and sweetness. The atmosphere was great too! We highly recommend it, it’s our new favorite restaurant in Erie.

Let me start by saying WOW! Me and my boyfriend went he one time and knew we had to come back with how amazing everything was. Our second time back was valentines and let me just say it was AMAZING! I truly didn’t think it could get better but it did. It did not disappoint and the food is outstanding. You can tell the amount of love and talent that goes into it. Only every positive things to say and I tell people every time I see them to check it out. I hope to become a regular here because I would always be happy and fed!

This was our first visit; we celebrated Valentine’s Day with their 5 course meal. Absolute deliciousness! We started with mushroom toast with bacon jam, Brie, matchstick green apples and micro greens. The combo was sweet and tangy. For the second course I had a crab cake. It was loaded with crab, but still light with a crispy on the outside. Served over a tasty aioli. My partner had the arancini and enjoyed the homemade sauce. Third course was a real standout for us. Fresh and soft, they were the best we’ve ever had. And the creamy mushroom sauce was delicious, but the fresh shaved black truffle was a treat I had never experienced before. The main course was wild boar shank or Halibut. The gratin potatoes were excellent, super thin sliced and very flavorful, the Halibut, moist & roast carrots added just the right touch. We finished with a chocolate pot de creme and caramel bread pudding. Absolutely the best complete menu I’ve had in Erie.
The place was busy, of course. There was only one server and one person at the bar. Between them they covered the room. But be prepared to linger and enjoy your meal, it is not a place to expect snappy delivery.

Had a fantastic dining experience. Started with our server, Trey. Enthusiastic, knowledgeable, attentive, and courteous. We had the mushroom toast appetizer and was awesome. I had braised pork that the bones pulled out clean. So tender. Some of the best pork I’ve ever had. My wife had the hanger steak with duck fat fries that she loved. The restraunt ambiance is so cool.

It was delicious! We made reservations, so no wait time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They really made an effort to please us, they did! The restaurant was tastefully decorated and very clean. I had the chicken and my daughter had the braised wild boar. The appetizer was amazing! It was gnocchi and mushrooms in a white sauce with goat cheese. The peanut butter creme brulee was so good! We had a lot to bring home for dinner tomorrow. We will be going back soon!

The food is outstanding. Legitimately. Everything is cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly and just really generously portioned. I can’t put into words the blissful experience that eating here has brought me, but I can recommend you go try for yourself. With most entrees under $40, we’ll be back here, soon and often.

It’s small inside. Small enough that I don’t think they have room for the kind of volume of clientele which would be flocking here if people knew how good the food is. But the size is only a negative in terms of capacity
The tables were comfortably spaced, the chairs comfortable and the lighting warm and cheery.

They are street level so anyone with mobility impairments should be fine visiting.

The service was average or slightly above. It wasn’t hard to get attention when it was needed, but there were a few times I was not able to address an issue and it ended up with an awkward conversation about the bill which could have been avoided with a more conventional approach of having a host seat us.

All that wasn’t too big of a deal though, and I’ll definitely be back for the food. I had six friends with me and we all ate our fill, and we shared from our plates so we each got to try basically their entire menu. When I say it’s all excellent, I really mean it. Please do yourself a favor and give it a shot, I need them to be fat and happy I’m the restaurant biz so I can keep coming back.

The food was absolutely incredible and I cannot wait until I come again. We had so many things in the menu and everything was so delicious, that I’m still thinking about the flavors a day later. Here’s the halibut special that I finished and almost licked the plate.
