Food: 4.5/5 (Great breakfast, delicious grits!)
Service: 5/5 (Service is always great!)
Atmosphere: 5/5 (cozy and comfortable atmosphere)
AM Cafe is a delicious, downtown to earth, local loving restaurant. This restaurant could easily become your favorite breakfast, lunch, or brunch spot. Located in Stevensville, Michigan, this is a restaurant you enjoy for comfort, after a run, meeting with friends, or just need some good food. Lovely spot!
The food is good and hearty. The breakfast are your classic pancakes, omelets, skillets, toast and more. However, my favorite is those good grits! Every other bowl of grits I’ve tried in the area we’re blah or had a scorch taste. But AM Cafe? I’ve had their grits multiple times and they were a hit every time! I get mine with extra butter, american cheese, and feta cheese. So good! The lunch features great sandwiches, soup, and more!
The service is always second to none! Beautiful smiles, great conversation, and the menu is always explained. If you could bottle the service to use at other places, that would be the best choice. Really great service.
The atmosphere is friendly, inviting, and has great decor. Entering the restaurant with a friendly greeting, seeing the awesome art, and the food smells will attract anyone to the restaurant.
Great restaurant overall! I appreciate one of the best breakfast spots around Southwest Michigan!

What a hidden gem. All employees were very friendly, caring and attentive. Food was scratch made and delicious. Eggs Benedict was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Omelets bigger than your head. Stop here if you are in the area!

If you’re really hungry for most excellent food, please go here!!!! If you’re really lucky you’ll get Lisa or Kayla to serve you!!! They are the absolute best!!!! I can get 3 meals out of one breakfast!!! I lost my taste from covid and got it back briefly and was so happy to taste it…(they probably thought I was weird being weepy eating a Greek omelette!) I wish I had taken a picture because it is so much food you can hardly believe it!!!

I’m a bit hesitant to share this review, as I feel like I want to keep this secret to myself. But, that’s just selfish. This place is great. It is everything you want in a diner. Delicious fast breakfast lunch and dinner food, simple, fresh. I love the egg breakfast, waffles, Benedict’s, biscuits and gravy, burritos, and the great inlet specials. Portions are big! Well worth the money, I usually have leftover for lunch. The place is homey, clean. The service is great and like a family. The coffee is just plain drip coffee, nothing fancy, but Starbucks is next door for your latte fix. It is located right off 94 at exit 23. If you are from Chicago and staying in Union Pier/Harbert/Three Oaks/Sawyer area, it is worth the drive a few mins north for a great breakfast that is quick and great for the family. But don’t all come at once. I still want my regular table.

Ive gone here twice for breakfast. I only come up once a year, but have hit this place both times. Cracker Barrel is close to this place, but youre missing out if you choose that over this. I highly recommend this place. Staff was friendly, food was amazing, and I’ll always come here over that cracker barrel place.

What a great place. Not only did they fix up and save an old building they brought us all a new wonderful breakfast experience! They have only been open a week and if they keep with the great food great service and good prices they will be a staple in town in no time.
It’s good simple food. When you just want the breakfast you could make but don’t want to get on over to the Am Café. Lots of good experienced staff. Even for not being open that long they knew their stuff. Most of the table stayed full the entire time we were there. Get there early!
The only downside would be they need shades. But one week in I’m sure they will get that done.
Rarely do I give 5 five stars but I’m very pleased to do it for the Am Café.
Here’s to many many years of success!

Food was good it’s just eggs quick an outrageously priced they charge for a to-go container they charge a service fee even for cash customers then they also charge $5 to split a meal honestly I was surprised I didn’t get charged for the glass of water $33 for a half order of biscuits and gravy one egg on top 1 cup of coffee and two glasses of water and that did not include a tip

It was ok service was friendly, portion size was average but but man does that veg and meat add on fee not make sense due to not having pre made options so spending 25 dollars on a skillet. Ended up paying $54 + $10 tip for skillet, burrito, coffee, and a coke. 2 people and $64 tab in Michigan is crazy.

Solid little place. Portion size is never a problem unless you expect a small portion. My family and I will be back
