This review is for the GF community. The food is fantastic! We talked to the owners. They are great people. When ordering, tell them you are celiac or gluten allergy. They mark your meal as “VERY GLUTEN FREE” LOL. They have an entire protocol including changing gloves, using separate grill for tortillas, and GF food will be set on a separate tray. The upcharge for the gf tortilla was only $1.

The quality of the food is excellent. The restaurant is small inside. When we went, they were very busy! As a small biz owner myself, that makes me so happy.

Any burrito can be made GF. All sauces are gluten free. The menu is clearly labeled. My non-celiac husband even like the gf tortilla.

I ordered a chicken fajita burrito (handheld). You can also order them smothered. I cannot even remember the last time i had an actual burrito.

As of Jan 2025, you might want to call ahead to see if they have the gf tortillas. They sell out quickly, but they are making midday trips to get more.

Very good new taqueria on Holly. This recently opened restaurant is small, but has an extensive menu with tacos, burritos, plates, and other things including some egg based dishes. The fish taco and the al pastor taco were both fresh and very good. They came with four salsas on the side. The green one I used was pretty spicy. You’ll probably want a knife and fork. The tacos were very full and sloppy to eat by hand – especially the fish (tilapia) taco.

Service was fast and friendly and kept up with the steady streamof customers. The space is attractive with three tables for 4 and a few counter seats inside. There is more seating outside than inside. They do have password protected wi-fi.

There is ample parking in the lot.

Staff up front were very friendly and helpful, and I think I would have gotten more bang for my buck eating in. It felt like takeout portions may have been a bit lighter when it came to their chips and salsa. Prices felt a bit high across the menu, though.

I got a steak fajita burrito with rice and refried beans and it was solid. It had an excellent tortilla.

I’ll be back once or twice more but I don’t know if I could justify making it a regular spot unless I can find a gem on the menu.

I am giving Tia’s Tacos 5 stars because I really want to like this place and it was only their first day so I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. If I were giving a rating based on today’s experience I would give Tia’s Taqueria a 3. I will update my review and rating after giving them some more time to settle and I visit again.

The good:
– Clean ingredients
– Nice aesthetic in the restaurant
– There are gluten free options
– Indoor and outdoor seating
– The owners seem involved and nice
– They have multiple high chairs
– Great parking
– Excellent location close to Little Kickers and Kickin It

The feedback:
– Ordering system needs to be updated. It is not clear how you will receive your food (if your name will be called or if it will be brought to you).
– The ordering space is a little tight. Not sure if this could be improved by moving the in-person ordering cashier location.
– The prices are confusing and very high. Not sure if California prices are appropriate for a Denver neighborhood spot. We spent ~$80 for two adults and two kids. Unfortunately at these prices this won’t be a frequented restaurant for our family.
– Prices need to be included on the laminated menus, not just the wall menu.
– Half of our food came out on plates and the other half in togo containers. I feel like $18 enchiladas shouldn’t be served in a togo box.
– Chips, salsa and guac is $12. The guac and “salsa” came in little 4oz (maybe 5.5oz?) plastic togo cups. This seems like a very small portion for the price. The chips came in a paper togo bag. The “salsa” is pico de gallo? We had to remind them about the chips and they ended up coming out after our meal was delivered.
– I ordered a regular burrito and was charged $20. I think they rung up some sort of jumbo burrito because it was massive. I couldn’t even eat half of it. I asked for steak and got chicken.
– The kids burrito was very large. I thought it was too large for a kid to successfully handle. I think the kids burritos need to be made a little smaller. Maybe two smaller burritos instead of one big one?
– We tried to order a bean and rice burrito for our son with a dairy allergy and got a bowl of beans and a side of corn tortillas. It was all fine and it worked but it was just confusing presentation for what was supposed to be a burrito.

We are rooting for this place to do well. It sounds like they have had success in California. I think they will also have success in Colorado if they are open to making some changes.

This taqueria is super cute on the outside with their patio and inside with a welcoming vibe. I was welcomed right away and brought my food fast. The service was quick and friendly! I got the pastor, asada and veggie taco which were delicious! I was also given three different hot sauces. The lemonade was also yummy it tasted sweet with a lime twist. I was checked on even after I finished my food before I was going to leave to make sure everything was good. Will definitely be back! Oh and cool name too

As a Californian, I have been looking for authentic Mexican food in the Denver area that is comparable to home. In Tia’s Taqueria, I have found this and more. Not only is this one of the cleanest establishments I’ve been to, the food is honestly the best in Denver, and some of the most delicious I have had. It is a smaller restaurant with a quaint vibe, but well worth making a trip for.
Additionally, as someone with celiacs disease, I want to make a note that this is one of the best places for gluten free tortillas and burritos. I have not had them in years but this was nostalgic and the staff was beyond great in handling allergy protocols and preventing cross contamination. I cannot say good enough things about this place if you are looking for good Mexican, but if you are gluten free in the area, this is a must try!

I have been waiting to try this place since the sign went up over 6mo ago. I finally was able to stop in two days ago. The ambience and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I ordered the enchilada plate with 3 different meats and sauces and it was amazing! I will say the prices are a little high but it is met with great quality food and service!

I am so thrilled that Tia’s is open!! My son and I went today for the first time for lunch and in his words “this is the best lunch EVER” and I have to agree 🙂 the chopped salad was so fresh, an extremely generous size and hit the spot. My son had the kids quesadilla and gobbled it right up. Service was great, very friendly and I love the outdoor seating. This is going to be my family’s new go to spot.

I believe this place would be a great takeout spot as the vibe was not great for dine-in and there was very limited seating. We had ordered chicken taquitos, birria tacos, and shrimp tacos. We also had chips and a kids quesadilla. The birria tacos were the best thing we ate by far. It’s actually disappointing that they are not a permanent fixture on the menu. The chicken taquitos looked amazing, but the chicken was pretty dry. The sauce that came with them needed more contrasting flavor to make the taquitos pop. The shrimp tacos were good, but they definitely needed the spicy green sauce that they came with to get a good flavor. I definitely expected the shrimp to be larger, but overall it was good. The chips were delicious and crisp and all of the sauces/salsas with the meals and the chips were delicious! Our daughter loved the quesadilla. We definitely want to go back and I think we need to order burritos because it seems like that might be where the magic happens here. I really want to try the fajitas, but I am hesitant with the size of shrimp from the tacos because if that’s the same size shrimp, I would probably be disappointed. Overall, I feel like this spot has a lot of potential and will probably be amazing in the summertime and once the shopping center builds out the turf community area. We will be back to try some other items and hopefully an updated review with that extra star! We love having new spots in the neighborhood and really hope to see the restaurant succeed!

Friendly, fast, freshly made to order and taste was good. Asked for shredded beef but it’s clearly steak. Normally I wouldn’t mind but in a taquito steak is the worst meat. It’s a little tough too probably because it was friend again. Only $10.50 so it is what it is. Tacos look expensive though if I read the menu correctly ($6.50). Cute place I’d try again.
