As someone coming from Europe and having her own business, I really appreciate the face behind the product, warm feeling of the place and hard work combined together. This is the place where small cookies and pitas are taken very seriously, I can confidently say this is one of the best baked pitas I’ve had in a long time. The quality is exceptional — perfectly balanced cheese, flaky crust, and ingredients that truly taste fresh and authentic.
Milana bakes daily, and you can absolutely tell everything is made with care and passion. Each bite of pita tastes homemade in the best possible way — rich, comforting, and simply unforgettable.

Every time me and my bf pass by here we stop by to get all type of pita. I’ ve tried pita in many places but this lady’s pita is the best for me. Crispy, not too much dough,less oil and so tasty. Their sweet hurmasice is soo good. The prices are good. The owner lady seems so sweet too like her hurmasice.

No longer open to the public. I stopped by to find a closed bakery and called to check the location. The owner opened a window and said she only sold savory filled pastries and cookies with walnuts.

Note: reviews are 4.9 as of today so I trust their baked items are decisions and they looked (hence the 3 star), but I never tasted them.
We’re visiting Chicago suburbs during this weekend. Searched for top bakeries close to Northbrook, drove about ~10 miles to get here, was amazed by the design and looks of the baked items, the lady was nice, got excited about the Serbian origins of the place and items, picked items, the nice lady gave me 4 extra of the syrupy treats…only to ask me for cash at the end.
Another Serbian lady commented: you should say that at the beginning!
My thought: put a sign on your door!
What a disappointing and quiet honestly such a disrespectful way of doing business!
I told her we’re travelers, I go check my car, she said OK. I found only $6, the cost was ~16. So I just didn’t go back in…what would I say?!

Wow! This place is so delicious. I’m so shocked how flavorful and good the burek & pita was. Honestly I haven’t found a place that has some great pita like this place, usually a lot of places the cheese is flavorless and this place has it. Not to mention the service is AMAZING. They know how to treat their customers. I’m definitely a new customer and will recommend to everyone.

Agree with the previous posts.. the lady is one of the nicest people we met. We didn’t realize it was a cash only.. she offered to give us a Burek for free and not to worry about it. Luckily I found $20 bill in the car to give it to her.
Food was amazing and one of the best in the area. Not greasy and very clean eating.
