Ave 3 Pizza is located on 2226 Palo Verde Ave. in Long Beach. This location has been there for over 40 years. It serves Italian-American comfort food. It is decorated in the 70’s style. It has arcade games, and big screen TVs to watch games and news. They serve beers. Although it is considered a family oriented business. I was told once that retired policemen visit this place. It has long tables. Suitable for large groups. It has pictures of sports teams from Long Beach. I got a large pizza, their special with everything. It was a thin crust pizza with mozzarella cheese, sausage, pepperoni, olives, bell peppers and onions. It was delicious! And the price was $23.00.

This is your classic family-owned business. Food is so cheap, beer is also very affordable. They have a pool table to play. Several TVs to watch sports. Some arcade games. Used to come here a lot more in college. Great for large groups, we’ve also had events here before. The owner is very nice.

I grew up in Long Beach but don’t think I’ve ever eaten here till now for lunch. Chill vibe inside with the Dodgers replay on the big screen, all doors open for fresh air, and the 12 inch meatball sub was as good as any meatball sub I’ve ever eaten. Lots of meatballs, tangy sauce, and the cheese is quality and holds it all together in the toasted roll. Excellent meatball sub.

This has been a Long Beach original pizza place I have been coming to for over 30 years and I know I have not been here in a long time but I got to say the pizza was the worse pizza I have ever had and it was like I went out and bought a frozen pizza and had them look it and serve, I would say it reminded me of a Celeste pizza that are a $1.00 at the store but that would be saying the Celeste pizza sucks and that it had more flavor than this pizza I had. I ordered the supreme pizza and it has frozen crust and I want to say frozen ingredients because nothing tasted fresh.the back of the place the lights are off and kids were playing pool In the dark. Guess if you’re drunk enough you might still enjoy the pizza but I doubt it. Sorry I will never return unless new management takes over or something.

This is what ever family who wishes to reminisce in old school pizzerias should be looking for. The pizza is great the beer is cold the price is right and the owners local. Real jukebox with arcade games and a pool table. My family are regulars and plan to stay regulars.

Great food at a great price! We usually get one of the delicious sandwiches or a pizza (sometimes both). Their lasagna is excellent as well. Relaxed atmosphere with lots of regulars. The owners, Charlie and Celeste, take pride in being a part of the community as well and often host/donate to the local LBUSD schools and CSULB — they’re a class act!
