I got to enjoy the Fish Shak Food truck while enjoying A Night of a thousand candles. I had their food before and it was just as delicious as the first time. The quality and quantity of the food was top notch. I ordered the triple play, which was Jumbo fried shrimp, flounder and grouper bites with potato chips. Thanks for the good eats!!

Staying in Surfside and hungry for fish and shrimp but wanted local, home cooked so found the The Fish Shak food truck. Right off US 17 nice, clean, parking area with an ice cream shop, The Fish Shak truck and my understanding more food trucks coming with authentic home cooked food. Food was excellent and we ordered the XL Flounder, Grouper Fingers and Shrimp to share. Plenty for 2 and ate at one of the shaded picnic tables. Delicious and highly recommend.

We were looking for a quick lunch and found the Fish Shak! The seafood is phenomenal without a doubt. My husband ordered the shrimp salad, an order of chips and the shrimp spring rolls. He loved everything; but, the shrimp spring rolls were his favorite.
I ordered the small shrimp basket with a side of sweetcorn hush puppies. The shrimp were so fresh and tender and the hush puppies were spot on some of the best I’ve ever had.
There was only 1 person working the food truck and she did an outstanding job. She was steady busy taking and making orders. There were no complaints by any of the customers and I mean she had a steady flow of customers. Job well done!!

I live in the Inlet and this is my go to shrimp place!
Beautiful large shrimp! I love all of the sauces, I suggest you try them all. I was happy these fine folks were happy to honor my special request to not fully cook the potatoes just like my old hometown hangout that were called “Raw Fries” However I have had them crispy and I love them both way. I’m not much of a fish eater so I have not tried the fish.
If you want to avoid the lines and high $$$ of the many other options try The Fish Shak, Great food and nice folks who run the place.

Road-trip to Pawley’s Island Beach for an afternoon of sun, sand and swimming got us hankering for some seafood. Not dressed for dinner dining got us googling for a nearby food truck that led us to The Fish Shak. Located in their new location at Carolina Food Truck Park @ 513 Courtfield Drive, Murrells Inlet along side the Hampton Inn. Fish Shak is seafood made to order with a nice selection of combo baskets of shrimp, flounder, grouper and Mahi-Mahi, tacos, sandwiches, sliders, soups and sides. Our combo XL was a nice serving of 2 lightly battered and seasoned flounder fillets and 6 jumbo shrimp fried to golden perfection with a side of tartar sauce. A heaping of thin potato chip style hand-cut fries and a dill ranch dipping sauce. A side order of hush puppies and we were in dining bliss. Staff were very personable and friendly taking the time to talk with us. The only drawback is the lack of seating with a single table preoccupied. Tables had been ordered but are on back order. But not to be daunted in our pursue of a near perfection outing we wrangled free our beach chairs and balancing take out containers on our laps we took up ownership of part of the parking lot. Dining be damned.

My husband and I came here for lunch on 10/3/24. We are frequent visitors to the Murrells Inlet/Garden City area. I can’t believe this is the first time we have eaten here!! We got the triple play and 2 mahi tacos. Holy moly!! Everything was fresh, amazing flavor and not heavy deep fried, which is what we really enjoy. The owner is super friendly and very generous with portions!! We will definitely be back!!!

Some of the largest fried shrimp in the inlet. Juicy with great flavor. Not 5/5 stars because for around $15 I expected more than 6 shrimp even with their large size. I haven’t had chips like there’s a long time, I enjoyed it. Also kind service that did not take long.

We loved the Fish Shak! We tried the Triple Play. The owner was very nice and her food was delicious. You could tell the fish was super fresh and the owner mentioned she bring it in every morning. There are three sauces for fish and a dill ranch for the chips. All of them were great but my favorite was the tartar sauce!

All of the food we had was fantastic. Fish and shrimp were lightly fried and tasty. Homemade chips were perfect. Prices very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Picnic tables with umbrellas to sit and eat in the shade.

Amazing food! The portion sizes are huge and everything is fresh. It’s all fried in the right way-food isn’t greasy. Fresh, crisp, and delicious. The whole family loved it! We ordered the “triple play” and I highly recommend it!
