Let me first start with a compliment to Joe here ! I called in a day before to make sure that I could get a cake for my niece , and he confirmed the opening time was 11 am , I was early the next day for 10 minutes and surprisingly he opened the door at 1050 am and welcomed me in to sort me out ! He was way cool and patient about the questions I had and explained well , I got a few ice creams for my staff back in the office and he made all of them with a smile . When the cake was ready he was all smiles and ring me up , and of coz because of his exceptional service I got more ice cream ! DQ ! you have a winner here that represent your establishment well !

So outside the establishment there is a sign that states that this is a family owned business. Upon entering, I found that there were no customers inside. I didn’t take as a sign since it was still morning but I was in the mood for ice cream. A gentleman entered after I did and I let him order before me since I was still deciding. He ordered milkshake, but there was a specific way he wanted it made. The two working were an older gentleman and a kid (early teens). They made the shake and when the gentleman tried it, he said it was too watery. The older man tried putting more ice cream in to thicken it but to no avail so he started anew. With the new shake done, it was still watery. The man still took the shake since already paid for it and left unsatisfied. Next was my turn.

I ordered a brownie and oreo cupfection and a cherry misty slush. I overheard the man tell the boy that he never made a cupfection before and the boy had a face like he had no idea how to do it. The man began attempting to make the slushie in the meantime. He pumped the cherry into the cup and then tried to pour the slush into the cup but the nozzle wouldnt pour anything out when activated. The man looked perplexed and stuck his bare finger into the nozzle in which the slush is suppose to come out of and tried again. When nothing came out he apologized to me and I told him not to worry about it. At that point, I didn’t want it anymore anyway. As for my cupfection, he removed the brownie from the freezer with his BARE hand and took it to the oven on a parchment sheet. Once it was in the oven, he seemed to not know how to use it since he couldnt get it to heat so he took it to the back room where I saw him put it in a microwave to heat up. After waiting a few minutes he and the boy finished my ice cream and he somehow got the slushie done. He asked me “Have you ever had a cupfection?” I answered no. He then added, “Then you are in for a real treat because this is the first one I have ever made.” He offered me a generous discount for my “patience” which I appreciated, and he was very kind but the service was so terrible and unsanitary, I will never set foot in that establishment again.

Horrible experience. Blizzard was terribly made. Young employees were extremely unprofessional and rude. One man that was older was incredibly rude and allowed his employees to act so terribly. Easily worst DQ location I have ever been to.

I’d quickly re-rate with a higher rating when they fire the guy who gave my wife a hard time! Yesterday, on the 17th of May 2019, the guy was asked by my wife for a coffee moo lata and the guy says nobody knows how to make it there and the young girl who was next to him looked at him like he was crazy! She then asks for 2 separate things and he says that it can’t be done. The other person says that they CAN do it and made them for us. The next day we went earlier in the morning around 1140 am and they were supposed to be open by 11am and we see him in the store just sitting there all by himself. We almost just left until other people started coming in and said that they were opening soon. We just ordered a great coffee from Coffee Tyme and put espresso coffee ice cream in it because his refusal to help us. Their loss. We’re not coming back. There’s plenty of ice cream shops around here willing to help customers…

We are happy to have a local Dairy Queen. The service is fast and the workers are smiling when they give you your order. They say they make sundaes, but they don’t have whipped cream or cherries.

what started as a beautiful family weekend filled with laughs and memories made, turned into a night of tears, shock and vomit. what better way then to follow up a warm sun soaked morning and an afternoon of swimming with an ice cream delight, but delightful it was not. my experience started with an order of the most basic of ice cream fancies, a vanilla milkshake. i mean what’s more American than vanilla ice cream? it took some time, perhaps longer than anticipated to receive my goods but for a busy Saturday night in the middle of summer I was not swayed, rather I waited for my ice cream like a mother lion waits for her cubs to come home from an afternoon frolic. ahh, at last! I receive my shake and take a sip of it with elation and glee. but wait, something is not right. i’m not shaken, perplexed perhaps as though one would be if morning skies were any color other than that of blue. no, this shake has a taste of sour. not sour like candy treats and gummy wonders, rather sour like that of milk spoiled. another sip… another sip… and yet another. each sip worse than the last and suddenly a warm July Saturday with memories fond turns into an abyss of grief. my stomach turned, my arm and legs become limp and to home I must run. I will allow ones imagination to finish the story but to suggest that it was anything other than awful would be bashful. will I ever visit dq cape may again, only time will tell. but I will never forget the night that was ruined all because of a vanilla milkshake that had ambitious beginnings but failed to deliver on its promise like that of a goose who does not lead his gander.

The blonde girl who made my blizzard seemed like she hated her job and wanted to let it out on customers. If you don’t want to work then quit. Ice cream was good though
