I’ve eaten at Littleleaf a few times since it’s opened and it’s one of the best things about coming to Waukee. From the delicious and flavorful food, the great service and bright vibes it’s become a favorite in our rotation.

I highly recommend the burger and fries but in all honesty you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, no matter the time of day. I am very excited to see they just expanded their hours to include dinner time service which is exciting!

I almost don’t want to leave this review because word is definitely out… but it deserves it.

My son said it “SLAPS,” and honestly, that sums it up perfectly.

Everything was impressive — from the atmosphere to the food. The pictures don’t do it justice. Make a reservation and go. You won’t regret it.

Littleleaf Downtown Waukee

A cute little breakfast place. Service was awesome.

☕️ big kiddos each got “fanshyy lattes” and both liked them. One was an oat milk latte, and the other ordered white noise but got served baklava – which was his next choice so no worries. He liked the baklava latte with the cinnamon and pistachio hints. We old folks just got regular drip coffee, which was also delicious.

breakfast burrito with bacon was a beast, on a hot skillet with red and green chili sauce. Yum.

breakfast sandwich is definitely big with the steamed egg stacking almost an inch thick.

avocado toast was interesting, and the onions were very overpowering. Didn’t love the oranges on top of this one. I think, next time, we will get it sans red onions and oranges on the side.

steak and eggs was 4 slices of steak, and cooked med-rare. A little bland but the salsa de rajas was good. I don’t know that I think this was worth $26 but beef is pricey right now so I get it.

I like this location, and am glad to see more businesses downtown Waukee. We will definitely be back to try other items, and get some yummy coffees, too.

Fantastic place! We loved the food, the service was great, and the building was charming. Loved all the attention to detail. The banana bread french toast was incredible and even had edible glitter. We will be back!

So happy a place like this opened in Waukee. Nice cute place with great vibes and a really pretty setup. The coffee was excellent, and both our meals hit the mark. I had the breakfast sandwich with a side of hash browns, and my wife went for the breakfast burrito—both were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly portioned. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to. Wish you guys all the best at Littleleaf Luncheonette.

I wasn’t expecting anything extraordinary here but Littleleaf surprised me! The space is clean and chic, the menu has comfort food with inspiration from all over the world, and the staff was SO ATTENTIVE (S/O to Aaliyah [sp?]). It took a few minutes to get seated but it seems like they have quick turnover. The menu has 15 set dishes so they’re able to whip the food up decently quick. We started out with lattés and left completely satisfied! We had the Breakfast Sandwich which looked completely different than I would have expected. The rise on the scrambled egg patty reminded me of a soufflé. It quite literally elevated the entire dish. We also ordered the Steak & Eggs which seems to have some Mexican influence. Bavette steak is so easily ruined by being overcooked, but Littleleaf did a phenomenal job keeping it mid-rare, flavorful, and tender. I especially loved the Salsa de Rajas that accompanied the dish. The Steak & Eggs came with tortillas. I’m not sure how they’re supposed to be used, but I ripped the tortilla up and used it to wrap up bite-sized components of the dish. I think the goldleaf/glitter in my White Noise latté was a nice little touch of fancy. Amazing, overall. Can’t wait to try their cold brew when they get the equipment in.

Littleleaf is a fantastic place to get lunch! I ordered the Cuban sandwich with fries! I also ordered a seasonal latte, a golden miso latte. I loved both!
The latte was perfectly balanced, not too sweet. The menu is small, but the portions were big! Super cute cafe, and I will be back.
