I’ll be digging myself out of a food coma for sure.
Passed by this spot for years, never knew it was even here, but boy I’m glad I found it.
Ordered over the phone, going with the traditional poutine and the ultimate hot pastrami sandwich. Total came to a bit over $32 before tip, which seems a little much, but that’s because I had no clue about their size.
Pickup was fast and simple, really dig the small storefront look, with a clear view of the kitchen. And boy, was it hot in there. I mean we were only in the 70’s outside but inside, felt like it might have been closer to the 90’s.
Back home with my meal I knew I was in for a ride as the heft alone told me the food was worth it’s weight in gold, and the first bite of the sandwich confirmed that suspicion. So meaty, so cheesy, so much! The homemade chips? Excellent! Now I only sampled a small portion of the poutine, but that’s because by the time I finished the sandwich I was feeling it. But even still, the gravy was rustic, the fries were thick, and the cheese was drenched everywhere. If you ever wanted to feel the weight of your culinary sins, this would be the spot to indulge.

We think that Andrew, of The Dugout Galway, serves some of the best food in the Capital District!! It’s amazing how he comes up with delicious creations every day, the specials are always incredible! Pizza, wings, burgers, hot & cold subs, steaks, chicken dishes…..he’s got it all covered!

I placed a catering order for several entrees and sides for a bridal shower that I was hosting. Everyone that I dealt with was helpful & accommodating. They actually prepared a wonderful pasta primavera that was not on the menu, for my vegetarian guests. The food not only arrived hot but was delivered on time in a torrential rainstorm. Everything was wonderful! The food was delicious and plentiful. All of my guests thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I can’t thank them enough for helping to make my event a success!

Great little food spot!! Offering a pretty good selection of food. Owner is a really nice guy . Ordered the huge half pound burger with fries .Great quality burgers. Also tried the homemade Italian sausage. All I can say is wow!! Totally amazing!! I wish I had gone to this place long before now!! The Dugout was a home run for my wife and I. We look forward to returning.

Place is a grand slam! Stopped on way to Lake for some lunch on the go. It was so amazing and full of flavors. We stopped on the way back to grab desert. Absolutely zero complaints. Totally a hidden gem.

Idk, waiting 2 hours for a mediocre pizza is crazy to me.

we received our order and using a surface thermometer the cheese was 74 degrees.
This is extremely disappointing. Or pizza is currently in the oven reheating so we can enjoy it.
What shame.. I cannot in good faith recommend this place to anyone. You guys need to do better.

The Philly and Italian steak hot subs were phenomenal. Delivery was super fast and the young man who brought it was very sweet. I’ll definitely be trying more of the dugout’s expansive menu. Next time I’ll update with pictures. Highly recommend!!

Called in an order at 5:50pm was told delivery would be 1 hour. Called at 7:15 to inquire about order, was told driver got lost and was in our area now. 7:34 received call from establishment indicating order would arrive 15-20 minutes and not to pay for order, apologized for delay. 7:59 we cancelled order. Sure hope the delivery person found their way back to the business. It had already been a long day for us and this experience just made it longer than it needed to be.
